Costpoint updates

Deltek announced updates to Deltek Costpoint, the leading ERP software for government contractors. The update included the embedding of several AI capabilities into the solution. The update includes:

  • A Smarter Digital Assistant: Costpoint customers can have more in-depth conversations with the AI digital assistant, Ask Dela. The AI assistant supports a wider range of questions and leverages a deeper data set, including chat history. Users can complete tasks faster without having to reference other applications.
  • Greater Convenience with the Costpoint App Integration for MS Teams: Costpoint has streamlined the experience so that users are able to enter time, submit and approve timesheets, and use Ask Dela without navigating away from Microsoft Teams.
  • Up-to-date Compliance with Government Security Requirements: Deltek Costpoint GovCon Cloud has achieved FedRAMP Moderate Ready status. Deltek Costpoint is also compliant with the recently proposed updates to the DoD’s CMMC enforcement rules.
  • Re-imagined Time and Expense: Deltek has reimagined time and expense entry experience, enabling users to enter time wherever they are. The new Quick Entry Expense Report makes it easier and quicker to enter expenses from one simplified screen.

Osterlund Architects uses Specpoint

Deltek published the story of how Osterling Architects has benefited from Deltek Specpoint to ensure their specification are on point. SSOE Group leaves and rejoins Deltek

SSOE Group, an architecture and engineering firm with 1,600 employees, used Deltek Vision from 2007 to 2019. It decided to review its decision and selected another vendor solution in 2019. However, by 2022, the implementation was deemed to have failed. As the solution lacked the industry-specific functionality required within an A&E firm.

Michael Murphy, Executive Vice President, commented, “There were issues with the newly selected system, including some of the most elementary things. The system was not like we envisioned, and that was a big concern. We also talked to some peers in our industry who were having very similar problems with the software.”

It reviewed the market and saw Deltek Vantagepoint as an upgrade for Deltek Vision. A solution that would meet its requirements. Working with Deltek Partner Aktion Associates, it has now implemented the ERP solution. Improvements have been seen across resource management, project planning and finance.

Infor

Infor has selected Amazon Bedrock as the platform on which it will build GenAI solutions across the Infor CloudSuite. The selection deepens the relationship between the two companies which is now in its eleventh year. Infor believe that it will have 60 use cases live within its solutions by the end of the year.

NetSuite

Oracle NetSuite revealed how Boll & Branch, a luxury bedding and home décor brand, is leveraging NetSuite ERP. The firm selected NetSuite ERP to replace its old software to better automate financial processes, optimize inventory, and efficiently scale its operations.

R Systems has appointed Satyadeep Mishra as Chief Human Resources Officer. Mishra previously worked as CHRO at CleverTap. Also having held senior HR leadership positions at OYO, JioPLatforms, Baja Finserv and RBS. He has also worked at companies such as Microsoft, Infosys, L&T Infotech and Barclays. Workday announced Global Payroll Connect, a unified global payroll solution that can seamlessly connect with payroll providers to deliver an end-to-end global payroll experience. The solution has pre-built connectors that will enable customers to integrate their Workday solution with Payroll partner providers such as ADP, CloudPay, PwC, Payslip, Safeguard, SHAPEiN, and Strada. This new platform uses pre-built API connectors and can reduce the cost of implementation by up to 50%, Workday believes.

Alongside Global Payroll Connect, Workday also announced Workday Payroll provided by StradaStrada was formerly the Payroll and Professional Services business of Alight Solutions. The new AI-powered global HR and payroll solution gives organisations a unified view of their finance, HR, and payroll data. To improve data accuracy, support compliance efforts, and inform strategic initiatives that drive business growth and success.
