Appointment Door - Photo by Dima Pechurin on UnsplashRootstock has announced the appointment of Andy Brabender as Chief Revenue Officer. Brabender joined in July to replace Joe Massa, who is now seeking a new role. Brabender joins a couple of months before Dreamforce, a key event in the Rootstock calendar. He will spearhead the global sales strategy and drive revenue through a combination of direct sales and global alliances.

Rick Berger, CEO of Rootstock Software, commented, “Adding Andy to our leadership team is a strategic milestone in sync with our company’s go-to-market transformation. With Andy’s deep expertise in SaaS and a proven history of driving exponential revenue growth, we are poised to take our sales and partner operations to new heights. His pragmatic leadership style and metrics-driven approach are critical assets as we scale to meet pent-up demand for a modern ERP like Rootstock.”

Rootstock is a key ISV in the Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud ecosystem. It differentiates itself on its robust manufacturing ERP solution and the expert professional services teams supporting it. In an interview earlier this year, Berger commented, “We’re in a unique position to bring a level of innovation that the industry really needs. We’re able to do that because we have an amazing team of industry experts.”

The firm has recently added new AI capabilities, leveraging the Salesforce platform to do so. Its solution has also been recognised as an ERP Leader in the recent Nucleus Research 2024 SMB ERP Value Matrix and won a Gold Stevie award as Best Cloud ERP.

As Rootstock continues to innovate its ERP offering, Brabender’s experience in building high-performance sales teams and executing successful go-to-market (GTM) strategies will be invaluable.

Branbender joins Rootstock from Gridpoint, where, as Chief Revenue Officer for the last two years he transformed the Go-To-Market operation and oversaw a significant increase in net new logo sales. This is his third role as Chief Revenue Officer, having been promoted while at SMS Assist to the role from that of SVP Sales. He previously held sales leadership positions at PRGX Global, ServiceChannel.com and GEP. He has spent over 20 years in Sales and Sales leadership roles, with nearly six years at SAP Ariba.

Brabender commented, “I’m excited to join Rootstock at such a critical juncture in its trajectory. Rootstock not only offers a comprehensive ERP on the leading cloud platform, but also an unparalleled ability to deliver value to manufacturing and product companies. In today’s uncertain economic climate, companies are looking to impact operations with tech tools that drive efficiency, cost savings, and staff productivity. Within our GTM strategy, partners and channels serve as force accelerators.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Berger, who only joined in May, is building a leadership team to help him drive growth at Rootstock. In Brabender, he has found an experienced leader who can assess and rebuild the GTM team if it requires it. It demonstrates that Berger is willing to make the tough decisions to ensure that he has what he feels is the right decision to drive growth. Are further changes imminent from Berger and now Brabender as they re-forge the company?

What is interesting about Brabender’s comment is the focus on partners and channels as the route to growth. There is no better opportunity to talk to potential partners at Dreamforce where the leadership team will be present. Rootstock is also hosting a Speakeasy Night during the conference on Tues, Sept 17, 7:15 pm PT — register to attend and receive a secret password to enter.
