OpsMill has announced that Justin Biegel has joined the company’s Board of Directors as a Board Advisor. He will bring deep industry experience to the infrastructure and network automation vendor. His advice will help OpsMill strategically as it looks to develop its unique service offering, Infrahub.
Damien Garros, CEO and Co-Founder of OpsMill, commented, “Justin brings such value to us as founders as we rapidly grow our company. His sales, GTM, and operations background complement our deep technical expertise, forging a partnership that’ll ensure OpsMill maximizes our market reach.”
Who is Justin Biegel?
Biegel is Co-Founder and COO at Kentik, the network observability leader. He also led the sales at Kentik as VP of Global Sales. His experience at Kentik, and before that as Sr Director of Sales at Internap, brings a depth of experience that will be valuable as an advisor. At Internap, Biegel was responsible for sales in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. During his tenure, he broke sales records consistently.
Biegel also worked as VP of Business Development at InvisibleHand Networks earlier in his career. He also spent time as a researcher at the University of Maryland. He graduated with honours with a BA in economics from DePaul University.
At Kentik, he also helped the company raise $102 million via its Series C funding round. As well as previous rounds. OpsMill has already raised some early VC funding, raising an undisclosed amount of funding from VCs. Including Serena Capital, Partech, and OVNI Capital.
As head of sales, he helped the firm grow from a startup to the significant company it is now. Thus, he is aware of the challenges and solutions that OpsMill are likely to encounter as it grows. Garros can now lean on his advice to avoid some of the pitfalls along the way. Biegel’s experience in not only building a sales engine but also developing the operations of a growing company will be invaluable.
Biegel commented, “OpsMill is led by a pair of smart founders that have created a groundbreaking solution to the hard problems infrastructure and networking professionals face. Infrahub is an innovative approach to network data management that enables network teams to easily modernize their infrastructure management efforts.
“They’re coming at just the right time: Network automation is taking off faster than a rocket ship. While we’re still in the early days for network source-of-truth systems like Infrahub, these systems will prove that they’re a requirement for enterprises to unlock the full potential of network automation. I’m thrilled for the opportunity to work with Damien, Raphael, and the rest of the OpsMill team in a space that I know well from my time founding and building Kentik.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
OpsMills launched InfraHub in May as an open beta. Fuelled by its early funding, it is now looking to go to market and validate its ground-breaking product. Garros is also looking to build an advisory board that can help grow the company rapidly. With Biegel joining, he has a new voice of experience to supplement board discussions. Biegel will also advise both Garris and the other Co-Founder, Raphael Maunier, COO, as they look to grow the business.
