Bentley Systems announced that Nicholas Cummins had assumed the role of CEO as planned on 1st July. He is the first CEO who is not a Bentley family member and came at a pivotal moment for infrastructure companies.

Infosys
Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic and CSR arm of Infosys, announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu, a non-profit organization, to increase the employability of young learners in rural India. This collaboration will aim to enable students pursuing engineering, arts, and science courses in tier 2 and tier 3 cities across the country to gain relevant skills that are necessary today for career development.
Infosys will help set up ‘Centers of Excellence for Women and Youth Empowerment’ in over 450 colleges in India. The intent is to support skills development for 48,000 students over three years. The foundation has invested INR 33 crore toward the project.

And education must create pathways to employability. iplicit announced a series of updates to its accounting solution. Release 780 includes:
- The ability to create substitute authorisers when key people are out of the office. This is administrated centrally.
- New in-app notifications about scheduled maintenance, reported incidents and resolved platform issues.
- Support for Irish Professional Service Withholding Tax.
- Several enhancements to the fixed assets module.
- Improvements to financial year setups, including the prevention of the creation of overlapping periods.
- Several other minor updates.
TSIA
TSIA published a couple of articles last week.
- AI Has Widespread Adoption in Knowledge Management (registration required): a short article that provides initial insights from TSIA’s 2024 AI Impact on Knowledge Management Program Maturity Quick Poll. It reveals the growing adoption of AI in knowledge management. Only 18% have not yet started their journey, only 9% have completed it. Two of the realised benefits were cost savings (53.5%) and time savings (53.5%). Meanwhile, barriers remain, with integration (61%) and data privacy & security (49%) the top two.
