She takes over the position vacated by Kyle Coleman, who left in January 2024 and is now CMO at Copy.ai. Darling is an experienced CMO. She has the task of modernising the go-to-market strategy at the firm behind the leading Revenue Platform.

Her appointment comes at a time of huge potential growth for Clari, according to CEO Andy Byrne. In a recent interview with Enterprise Times, he commented, “Revenue used to be thought of as just an outcome. About seven or eight years ago, people realised it’s not an outcome. It’s the most important business process. We transformed it.”

Darling will help expand the frameworks for its go-to-market efforts, aiming to reach new buyers, market segments, and vertical industries. Growth has already been significant, with the company surpassing $4 trillion in revenue under management through its platform. In April, it announced a strategic alliance with Deloitte Digital with the Global SI, offering AI revenue transformation to its customer base.

In March, it added generative AI capabilities to its platform. AI is one of three priorities for Byrne to move the company forward. Byrne commented, “Priority number three is AI, in three flavours: predictive, descriptive, and generative. We’re delivering value through AI, and our focus with the customer is on the vertical dimension of rep to exec.”

On the appointment of Darling, he commented, “Claire is a paragon of the modern Chief Marketing Officer, with extensive expertise orchestrating brand, category creation, thought leadership, and go-to-market strategies that accelerate growth. She is a powerful addition to Clari’s executive team and will be instrumental in helping us extend our lead as the industry’s only purpose-built, AI-powered Revenue Platform that helps enterprises stop revenue leak and capture more revenue.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Darling has experience in the largest organisations and across the full breadth of disciplines. Byrne has found a very experienced and thoughtful leader to head up his marketing team. This is a good step for Darling in a company that has huge ambitions and the potential to match. Her experience at ServiceNow will be useful as she seeks to turn Byrne’s vision into reality.
