Innominds has announced the availability of iDhi, which is an enterprise and industrial IoT Edge Compute box. This Edge AI Platform is built around the Innominds small-form-factor System on Modules (SoM).
The technology is supported by the Qualcomm Technologies and can provide up to 15 TOPS of compute. Moreover, the Edge AI platform can now accommodate multiple M.2 slots for integrating AI accelerator modules, thereby enhancing its capability to handle industrial and enterprise workloads.
This Edge AI Platform seamlessly integrates across sectors, supporting up to 8 video streams and global 5G/4G connectivity. At the same time handles complex AI/ML tasks at the edge and offering cloud integration for enhanced security and video management. Innominds says it makes it an ideal solution for manufacturing, automotive, surveillance, energy, and retail industries.
“Companies worldwide are embracing digital transformation. Innominds, with its chip-to-cloud solutions and cognition platforms is helping drive global digital transformation and innovation in enterprise and industrial IoT deployments,” said Dev Singh, Vice President, Business Development and Head of Building, Enterprise & Industrial Automation, Qualcomm Technologies. “We are excited to collaborate with Innominds to help accelerate enterprise solutions.”
Accelerating digital transformation
Innominds is collaborating with Qualcomm to accelerate Enterprise Digital Transformation. Built with cutting-edge technology, Innominds’ sensor gateway device utilises a high-performance Qualcomm MDM9205 processor. This features a power-optimised design for extended battery life. It integrates with AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, and client’s IoT platforms, facilitating device provisioning and management. Suitable for diverse applications including supply chain visibility, cold chain tracking, remote telemetry and POS devices, it offers versatility and reliability.
Innominds also offers a value-tier module based on Qualcomm Technologies’ MDM9205S Modem. This adds efficient and low-power communication using satellite connectivity in remote areas. NTN NB-IoT solutions, featuring direct-to-device 2-way satellite messaging, help serve multiple applications such as asset tracking, environmental monitoring, and emergency response in remote regions.
“As we harness the power of cloud-orchestrated edge AI, we are revolutionising data processing at the edge. This empowers real-time insights and decision-making across diverse applications for enterprises,” said Raj Ganti, President of Global Strategic Accounts at Innominds. “Our collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies has helped us to play a pivotal role in enterprise digital transformation.”
Enterprise Times: What this means for businesses
Digital transformation for enterprises often requires the ability for everyone and everything in the organisation to be intelligently connected. Increasingly enterprises are embracing cloud technology to ensure access to customer data to improve business decision-making. A key requirement on the transformation roadmap will be ensuring digital partners have the processing and capacity to corporate ambitions.
Utilising technologies such as IoT, AI and machine learning to support the innovations needed to thrive in today’s business environment. Next-gen digitisation in Manufacturing is happening on the Edge. Enterprises are good at generating data. However, a lot of that data remains unused. McKinsey has already estimated that by leveraging industrial data (product & production data) manufacturers can reduce downtimes by 30-50%. They can also increase productivity by up to 30%.
Hence the reason why Innominds has released iDhi, its enterprise industrial IoT Edge Compute box. The company’s High-compute Edge AI Platform, Sensor Gateway Device and NB-IoT Solutions based on Qualcomm processors is expected to digital transformation for enterprises. This move is designed to ensure Innominds remains in the pack of ‘middleware’ providers helping manufacturing clients work with large data volumes in real time on-site.
