ASUS announced BIOS updates that enable support for up to 256 GB of memory on its Intel 700 and 600 series motherboards that use DDR5 modules.

It announced the new Zenfone 11 Ultra during a dedicated online launch event. Co-CEO S.Y. Infor

Ruiz Food Products, Inc. (Ruiz Foods), a frozen food manufacturer specializing in Mexican food products, has migrated its entire Infor product platform to the cloud. It has been an Infor customer for over 20 years. Using Infor Optiva, M3, Supply Chain Planning, Factory Track, and EPM. With its hardware infrastructure near the end of life, in 2022, it decided to move to the cloud.

Michael Warter, Ruiz Foods’ SVP/CIO, “It was the strategic technology benefits that gave us the impetus to move. It had become very clear over the past several years that Infor was investing significantly in its cloud offering and that most of its latest innovations were coming out for cloud. In order for us to stay strategically aligned with Infor, we needed to move to the cloud to access the solution’s absolute latest capabilities. The move is a win-win because we are saving a considerable amount of capital, which we’ve been able to redirect to other initiatives, while staying aligned with our technology partner.”

Working with Infor, it migrated in several phases, though it immediately saw benefits, including better profitability from the migration.

Makip

Makip revealed that yet another fashion company in Japan, Bring, has implemented Unisize on its eCommerce site to help customers find the correct size. Bring has an impressive recycling operation. It aims to recycle 52 tons of clothes annually to create polyester and other materials to make new clothes.

Monta

Monta, in partnership with Grid Beyond, has launched PowerBank in the UK and Ireland. PowerBank is a grid services technology that detects imbalances in the electrical grid. And briefly pauses current EV charging sessions to help prevent power blackouts in exchange.

Already rolled out in the Nordics, it aims to reduce potential imbalances in the grid that EV Charging can create. Alex Iriondo, Grid Services Product Expert at Monta, said, “With almost 20 unique grid imbalances in 2023, it is clear that the UK’s ageing grid is not ready for increasing demand, highlighting the importance of innovative grid services, such as PowerBank, which helps to reduce pressure during periods of high demand.

Unit4

Following on from its announcement that Moody’s had improved its credit rating, the company has now revealed that S&P Global has improved the credit rating of Unit4 from CCC+ to B-, reflecting Unit4’s improved operating performance in 2023.

Workday

Following its results, Workday celebrated the addition of several large professional services firms. mainly accounting firms, in 2023. These have selected Workday Financial Management, Workday Human Capital Management (HCM), and Workday Professional Service Automation (PSA).

Organisations selecting Workday included Aprio LLP, Armanino LLP, Ascend Partner Services LLC, Bishop Fleming LLP, Bonadio & Co., Mazars Germany, UHY Advisors, and Wipfli LLP. Existing customers BDO and RSM have also expanded their use of Workday products.
