Table Games Image Large (Image courtesy Valley View Hotel and Casino)Valley View Casino & Hotel continues investing in Infor technology. In 2022, the venue announced that it would update its Infor CloudSuite Hospitality and implement Infor Dynamic Enterprise Performance Management (Infor d/EPM). Almost exactly two years later, Southern California’s premier gaming destination will implement three more solutions. They are Infor’s hospitality Point of Sale (POS), Hospitality Management System (HMS) and Table Reservation Management.

Valley View has used Infor solutions for over two decades. It is a tribute to the customer success team at Infor that the firm is investing in more Infor technology. It is not the only casino resort that leverages Infor solutions, with others such as Seven Feathers Casino Resort and Fontainebleau Las Vegas selecting its solutions.

Joe Vargas, SVP & General Manager of Infor Hospitality, said, “Valley View’s adoption of Infor’s POS and HMS marks a milestone for us, as it represents the inaugural implementation of Infor POS on the gaming floor. This strategic move, driven by exceptional support and the pursuit of operational excellence, showcases the trust Valley View places in Infor. The decision not only addresses their current challenges but also positions Valley View at the forefront of innovation and success in the hospitality industry.”

In proving the capabilities of the POS and HMS solution in this sector, Infor hopes to attract other businesses to consider its wider platform solution beyond Infor CloudSuite Hospitality ERP. Infor continues to invest in its solutions, announcing major updates to its CloudSuite solutions in December last year.

Bruce Howard, General Manager of Valley View Casino & Hotel, commented, “We are delighted to be the first casino in the country to implement Infor’s Point of Sale System. Our 20-year partnership with Infor has been a win/win scenario for both companies since its inception in 2004 and we are confident that will continue with their new advanced technology into POS, another integral part of our business.”

POS meets table and hotel management

The Table Reservations solution provides a comprehensive reservation and table management solution. It manages bookings, wait lists, seating and service flow. It is a flexible solution that allows wait staff to manage some of the more complex scenarios they are faced with. Examples include splitting the bill/check between people and combining people from different tables for larger parties. There is also a simple click for re-ordering at the same table.

With the new solutions in place Valley View can also leverage the enhanced menu management capabilities with the POS solution. The solution will enable the Casino to provide a seamless guest experience. Whether in-person, self-serve or using a mobile device, future-proofing the venue for any experience. The organisation can also create items for multiple revenue centres. It eliminates the need for multiple items, one for each revenue centre. The data collected enables the organisation to track usage and trends, it improves forecasting capabilities.

Once implemented, the POS solution also tightly integrates with the Hotel Management System. It enables guests to self-checkout and view their status, packages, stay dates and room details. During checkout, they can view and pay charges without having to contact the front desk. This helps reduce the administration and manual work for staff. The solution also assists guests with checking in as well. It provides a seamless and touchless experience that helps increase employee and guest satisfaction.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Valley View Casino and Hotel is the ideal customer for Infor. However, this is down to Valley View successfully leveraging its software and Infor assisting them in that task. The resort is getting value from the cloud solutions Infor provides and is willing to invest again in the firm.

Todd Jackson, Vice President of Gaming Operations and Information Technology at Valley View Casino and Hotel said, “Our decision to continue to partner with Infor in bringing their renowned hospitality POS and HMS into the gaming industry underscores our commitment to innovation. Infor’s track record in the hospitality sector speaks volumes, and this groundbreaking move signifies our dedication to providing an unparalleled customer experience.”

Once deployed, guests at the hotel and casino can experience the eight outstanding full-service and quick-serve restaurants, six bars and lounges or participate in the Casinos 2,000 slot machine or card tables. The hotel aims to make the service experience frictionless, and Infor is their chosen partner to help with that.
