Story Monforte, Infor’s senior director of platform technology, commented,  “We view the Infor Developer Program as an on-ramp for launching solutions on our Infor Marketplace. It is another key part of our growing partner ecosystem, which helps deliver myriad choices and innovation to our customers.”

Two crucial components of the developer portal are Infor Mongoose and Infor OS (Operating Service) App Designer.

Infor Mongoose

Infor Mongoose enables developers to quickly build simple web applications for complex ERP systems. Mongoose can help create the right experience with minimal coding. It can produce feature-rich applications that are automatically upgradeable and deployable on-premises or in the cloud. It includes pre-built enterprise-class, full-user security with single sign-on and support for both web browsers, tablet and mobile interfaces.

Infor OS App Designer (OAD) is a serverless, multi-tenant, cloud-based development framework within the Infor OS Portal platform. Organisations can develop widgets using a no-code approach, building on

With OAD, you can develop widgets for the OS Portal using a no-code approach. The solution includes several templates that developers can build unique widgets from. The widgets, which can connect to a data service, include:

  • Banner widget
  • Chart widget
  • Count widget
  • Data Grid widget
  • Forms widget
  • Greeting widget
  • Records widget
  • A simple list widget

The data service layer connects with APIs using the API gateway, enabling developers to draw data from a wide range of applications. The creation and deployment of widgets are further automated with a wizard that guides the developer through assigning data to, configuring, and publishing the widget.

What do partners think

StarPoint Technologies, an Infor Birst partner, already offers StarPoint.AI GPT on the Infor Marketplace. It is an AI-powered data analysis & natural language search model for a truly conversational BI experience. It is capable of generating human-like text based on context and past conversations.

Chris Griffith, CEO of StarPoint Technologies, commented, “The Infor Developer Portal is another great example of how Infor is enabling partners like StarPoint to leverage the full capabilities and strengths of the Infor platform.

“As we continue to innovate with Infor, the detailed documentation, best practices and tools available to us through the Developer Portal will provide us with the key details needed to expand our AI and data insights solutions across an ever-increasing number of Infor CloudSuite ERPs and applications.

“One of the most exciting parts of the Developer Portal is the new API library. Having broad accessibility to this information will not only save us time by reducing our development timeframes, it also will accelerate our ability to bring fully integrated solutions to market faster, ultimately driving value and improving cost performance for our shared customers. I’m really excited about the future of our partnership with Infor.”
