As usual, there were a lot of announcements by the global technology giant.  It announced the addition of generative AI services to its healthcare portfolio. Customers who use Oracle’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) solutions now have access to the Oracle Clinical Digital Assistant.

It revealed how AMP Limited consolidated its HR systems onto Oracle Fusion HCM and announced a partnership with Uber. Safra Katz, CEO of Oracle, led off the keynote for an event that again did not disappoint in terms of innovation. She started the keynote saying, “Together we can do pretty much anything and between all of you and us, this is a truly stunning moment for all of us, for technology, for people and for doing things that I think many of us weren’t even sure wasn’t going to be possible.”

Analytics

Oracle announced the Fusion Data Intelligence Platform, a next-generation data, analytics, and AI platform. This will help Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications customers achieve better business outcomes. By combining data-driven insights with intelligent decisions and actions.

Oracle added new AI-powered capabilities within Oracle Analytics Cloud. Leveraging the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI service, the new capabilities assist analytics self-service users to more quickly and efficiently conduct sophisticated analysis. Also to make better business decisions without waiting for data scientists or IT teams.

Applications

Oracle added new employee recognition and rewards capabilities to Oracle ME. The employee experience platform within Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM).

Oracle announced the addition of generative AI-powered capabilities within Oracle Fusion Cloud Customer Experience (CX). It also added new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities in Oracle Fusion Cloud Customer Experience (CX). This will help marketers, sellers, and service agents grow revenue and deliver exceptional customer experience.

Oracle announced new Guided Campaigns features within Oracle Fusion Cloud Customer Experience (CX). These will help improve efficiency and collaboration between marketers and sellers.

Mastercard and Oracle announced a new partnership to help enterprise customers automate end-to-end business-to-business (B2B) payment transactions. The partnership lets Oracle directly connect Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) with banks. Streamlining and automating the B2B finance and payment process.

Oracle announced the expansion of its Oracle Banking Cloud Services portfolio. Helping banks quickly launch comprehensive transaction banking offerings spanning cash management, liquidity management, and virtual account management.

Oracle announced updates to Oracle Access Governance. IT teams can better assign, monitor, and manage user access to applications and other tech resources.

Higher education institutions, including Navarro CollegePittsburg State UniversitySpring Arbor University, and Virginia Wesleyan University, are deploying Oracle Student. They can now simplify processes and help deliver on their core missions of driving student success.

Oracle announced its plans to add semantic search capabilities using AI vectors to Oracle Database 23c. The collection of features, called AI Vector Search, includes a new vector data type, vector indexes, and vector search SQL operators. These enable the Oracle Database to store the semantic content of documents, images, and other unstructured data as vectors. These can be used to run fast similarity queries.

Healthcare

Continuing to deliver on its commitment to build an open and integrated technology ecosystem. That helps healthcare organizations improve patient care, optimize clinical expertise, and reduce costs, Oracle announced several significant enhancements to its healthcare solutions. These included new cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) capabilities, generative AI services, public Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and back-office enhancements designed for the healthcare industry.

Oracle is introducing new healthcare-specific capabilities to the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite. The features will help healthcare organizations increase financial visibility, build resilient supply chains, and improve patient care.

Oracle has introduced new workforce management capabilities within Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM). These will help healthcare organizations adapt to changing labour markets, meet volatile customer demand, and better attract and retain workers. The new capabilities, Oracle Workforce Scheduling and Oracle Workforce Labor Optimization connect business and electronic health record (EHR) data on a single cloud platform. This will help healthcare organizations navigate advanced scheduling and labor needs.

OCI

Amdocs and Oracle announced expanding their global collaboration. Empowering customers on their journey towards cloud and digital adoption with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Oracle expanded its distributed cloud offerings to meet organizations’ diverse needs and the growing worldwide demand for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services. The latest additions to OCI’s distributed cloud include Oracle Database@Azure and MySQL HeatWave Lakehouse on AWS.

Red Hat Inc. and Oracle announced the expansion of their alliance. This will offer customers a greater choice in deploying applications on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Security

Oracle announced it is participating in an industry-wide initiative to design a new open network and data security standard. This standard will help organizations better protect their data in distributed IT environments. Under this new initiative, Oracle will collaborate with Applied Invention, other major technology providers, and other leading organizations from across industries. This includes Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (NRI).

This new standard will enable networks to collectively enforce shared security policies. Enhancing organisations’ security architecture without changing existing applications and networks. To support this new initiative, Oracle plans to release the Oracle Zero-Trust Packet Routing Platform. This is based on the new standard to help organizations prevent unauthorized access or use of their data without adding extra hurdles for legitimate activities.

Thales, a leading global technology and security provider, today announced the launch of CipherTrust Cloud Key Management’s Hold Your Own Key (HYOK) in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) across all 45 Oracle Cloud Regions—including the recently launched Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud—and OCI’s other distributed cloud offerings.
