At Groundbreak 2023, Deltek announced an expanded relationship with Procore. Deltek ComputerEase has a long-standing integration with Procore. It is listed on the Procore App Marketplace among over 500 listed applications. The integration allows job and budget data to be transferred to the Procore Construction Management solution. Besides the integration application, Procore now has a listing on the Deltek Marketplace. Noting its integration with the ComputerEase accounting solution.
Deltek announced the extended partnership will see “seamless data synchronization by connecting project management and accounting functions. Any changes made to projects will appear for all team members simultaneously, reducing errors and time spent on manual data transfers and updates, leading to improved efficiency, accelerated timelines, and smarter decision-making.”
The press release, however, does not go into further details of what this entails. The current entry on the Procore marketplace infers that the integration is not bidirectional but updates Procore entries as they are changed in ComputerEase.
The integration map currently includes the following:
- Job name updates Procore.Project name
- Job Address updates Procore.Project Address
- Phases/Categories updates Procore.cost codes
- Cost Type updates Procore.Cost Category
- Cost Type Budget updates Procore.Original Budget amount
Kris Lengieza, Vice President of Global Partnerships and Alliances at Procore, commented, “Through this enhancement, we can offer contractors and their accounting teams improved access to the meaningful data they need to successfully carry out a project. Construction professionals using both platforms can now have access to accurate, real-time information that can be seamlessly shared between the jobsite and the back office, helping deliver projects on time and within budget.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Deltek was a silver sponsor at Groundbreak. Presumably has held off the announcement as the integration was last updated in February 2023. This is good news for joint users; all ComputerEase versions can integrate with Procore.
John Meibers, Vice President and General Manager for Deltek ComputerEase commented, “Thousands of trade and general construction contractors already leverage Deltek ComputerEase and Procore to run their businesses, control their margins, and collaborate with stakeholders. We’re thrilled to continue our journey with Procore and look forward to delivering industry leading integration and customer experience for users of the ComputerEase and Procore platforms.”
The integration between the Construction Management software of Procore and the Construction accounting solution ComputerEase will help joint customers avoid manual updates. It will be interesting to see how the companies work together in the future. Either on comarketing or deepening the integration between the two solutions.
