Doors Appointment Image by Esa Riutta from PixabayIFS has announced the appointment of André Robberts as the new regional President for Southern and Western Europe and LATAM. Robberts joins from Oracle. He was only recently, three months ago, appointed Chief Operating Officer, EMEA North. Before that, he held sales leadership positions at Oracle as Vice President of EMEA CX and WE Midmarket and Vice President of Applications Mid Market – Western Europe. The appointment sees him join IFS in a sales leadership position again with a wider remit.

Robberts previously worked at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) SAP and spent fifteen years at ADP in the UK. He joins a rampant expanding IFS, whose growth continues to impress, posting a 38% increase in revenues in H1 2023.

Robberts succeeds Marc Genevois, who has been promoted to Global President of Strategic Initiatives. This aligns with his role on the board of Arcwide, the joint venture between IFS and BearingPoint.

Robberts will build on the success IFS achieved in the region it has with goals for further success in 2024 and beyond through direct and indirect channels.

An experienced hand at the wheel

Robberts has deep experience in leading sales teams in Europe, and this role is more expansive than his previous position. He is joining a company disrupting and winning market share across its different sectors with IFS Cloud and its solutions, such as ERP, EAM, FSM, and ESM.

It will be interesting to see how he drives growth, especially in LATAM, where its physical presence is limited, operating mainly through channel partners. Luring Robberts from Oracle shortly after the “promotion indicates the offer was too good to be refused. And as a fast-growing company, the opportunity for further promotions after success may also have been a strong lure.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean?

Another South African joins the leadership team at IFS. This is perhaps the only element of this appointment that disappoints. He has no experience in LATAM and sees Genevois, a Frenchman, move on from the role.

However, Robberts is multilingual and has experience operating across Western Europe. It will be interesting to see what his plans for the region are. IFS are often reticent about revealing regional growth figures within its results. If Robberts delivers success, it will be interesting to see whether more net new customer wins are announced and whether the growth is revealed.
