India flag - Image by jorono from PixabayTech Mahindra has deepened its partnership with IFS. The partnership will mean that the Indian multinational information technology services and consulting company will be the exclusive distributor of IFS technology in India. The deal includes the IFS applications that form part of IFS Cloud. Including Field Service Management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Enterprise Service Management.

This is another step on a partnership journey that has existed for many years. An indication of this is that Tech Mahindra was a Diamond Sponsor that IFS Unleashed 2022 last year.

Tech Mahindra will now take its deep expertise in IFS solutions and apply its knowledge of the Indian market to distribute, sell and implement the software across the sub-continent.

Jinender Jain, Senior Vice President and Sales Head of UK and Ireland at Tech Mahindra, commented. “The Tech Mahindra and IFS partnership has had a significant transformation over the past 17 years. From being a services partner initially to co-creation of IP, R&D, and Global Support Services for industry-specific solutions for our mutual clientele across UK, Sweden, and now in India.

“This strategic alliance underscores our dedication to addressing the growing market demand for IFS solutions, while delivering faster return on investment (ROI) with Tech Mahindra’s digital transformation experience. Tech Mahindra’s expertise and the proven excellence of IFS’s cloud solutions will start a new era of growth and success for businesses in India and globally.”

Vincent Carvalho, Regional President, APJ, ME&A, IFS, said. “We are delighted to have our existing Global Platinum Partner, Tech Mahindra as the exclusive distributor for IFS in India. With strong delivery capacity in IFS’s key industries as well as being a leading Global Systems Integrator, we are confident that Tech Mahindra will continue to deliver IFS innovative solutions to our clients and support their growth aspirations.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Tech Mahindra has delivered several customer deployments with IFS solutions. It deployed the IFS Mobile Work Order Management at a North American natural gas company. The project was delivered successfully. It reduced downtime, improved efficiency, and gained between 40-60 minutes per tech per day by eliminating paperwork. In 2021, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) selected IFS and Tech Mahindra to replace its ERP solution. The project was part of a US$ 54 million (Rs 400 crore) business transformation project called the Parivartan (Change) Program.

IFS hopes that Tech Mahindra will help bring more deals within India. The relationship is already strong and aligns with Tech Mahindra’s DigitALL philosophy for comprehensive business transformation. This philosophy deems that digital transformations consider all stakeholder needs, possibilities and organizational goals across multiple business layers. It is a part of the NXT.NOW framework, which aims to enhance ‘Human Centric Experience’.

The long-lasting partnership is entering a new phase, and delivering ERP solutions to the Indian market is rarely easy. IFS may have found a way to accelerate growth with a trusted partner that knows its solutions well. For Tech Mahindra, the exclusive nature of the deal will have been attractive. This will enable it to reap the rewards if it can start to deliver transformations to customers.

IFS growth marches on in 2023
