Last week Kantata revealed how Hakkōda deployed Kantata OX and improved several key metrics in its organisation. Leantime emerged as a new player in the PPM market with an open-source solution aimed at neurodiverse workforces that focuses on goals rather than tasks. Other news came from Accelo, Asana and Birdview PSA.
Accelo
First rolled out in beta in May, Accelo has added more views to its new mobile app experience. The updates in this beta release were added to help users stay updated with the latest events within their organization. With these mobile app view screens, you can easily monitor and track client details, communication efforts, events and related work. Making it easy to locate the information you need quickly. The update to the beta for both Android and iOS includes:
- View events: View events and see event details like date, time, attendees and description to stay informed on important events with clients.
- View Stream: View and search activities like messages, events and replies to understand the latest touch-points with customers.
- View Messages: View conversation threads, message content and details and in-line images to get a complete look at internal and external communication.
- View Contacts: View contact information, call contacts based on saved details and monitor related work.
- View Custom Profile Fields/Extensions: See custom profile fields and extensions per object type on the Details tab for an easy way to reference relevant details about your client workflows.
- View Related Tab: See supported related objects on the Related tab for easier navigation.
Asana
Asana has appointed Ed McDonnell as Chief Revenue Officer. He will be responsible for all facets of global revenue and field operations. McDonnell joins from Salesforce, where he was an early leader within Marketing Cloud and most recently held the role of Executive Vice President of Sales, responsible for two of the fastest-growing Clouds, Marketing and Commerce, and two emerging industry verticals, Retail and Consumer Goods.

Asana also published details of recent updates, including:
- Universal workload now includes subtasks when adding an effort field, due date, and assignee.
- Add Editor level permissions for project members who need to add and edit tasks and messages without modifying the project structure.
- Save a default project view for everyone and set different filters and sorts per view. See how to surface the most relevant information by saving views.
- Add a new rule for when tasks or all subtasks are marked complete. For example, set a rule to complete a parent task when all subtasks are completed.
- Use variables for the assignee when creating a rule with “create task” or “create subtask/approval.” Read more about variables in rules.
- Search for a collaborator or project by @-mentioning in the search bar. Learn more about basic search.
- Enterprise customers can add custom icons to projects.
- Super admins can include a message when the app blocked feature is turned on. Read more about app management and integrations.
- SCIM provisioning sync allows IT admins to sync enhanced user profile attributes from Okta to Asana, such as location, manager, and cost centre.
Birdview PSA
Birdview PSA has added a Group by job role view mode to its resource planning centre. The new feature provides a holistic view of resources’ workload at the job role level and allows users to easily identify overloaded, underloaded, and balanced roles in the organization. It offers you a reliable way to forecast resource demand vs capacity.
