Certinia
Certinia published a case study video about how TerraPact saved thousands of hours by implementing Certinia Financial Management solutions. Including Accounting, Revenue Recognition and Analytics. A leading owner, operator, and manager of critical infrastructure assets across North America moved to Certinia to consolidate disparate solutions.
The organisation is rapidly expanding, buying new assets which need support for multi-entity accounting within its solution. The company already uses Salesforce and found that the key advantage of Certinia being on the same platform made the decision to consolidate the different solutions it already had and continued to acquire straightforward.
Tina Hill, Senior Director of Systems, stated, “What has been most impressive with FinancialForce (Certinia) truly is giving our end-to-end users a truly unified platform.”
Hill added, “Our Finance team has to manage multiple entities and having Certinia on the Salesforce platform makes that process painless. Certinia has enabled our Finance team to look at the data, analyze and group the data by entity.”
TerraPact has also taken advantage of the granularity of the user permissions capabilities. Hill believes the finance team has probably saved thousands of hours compared to going between the many different accounting systems they once used and Salesforce.

Scoro
Scoro published details of the August updates for its software platform. It has added new charts that display budget burn and progress within the project view. The burn chart visualizes project progress over time. It’s there to help you detect potential over servicing ahead of time and course correct promptly by replanning or renegotiating the project scope.
The budget breakdown chart enables leaders to rack the use of the time budget on a role level. Leaders can see how much time was used on a project against budget, planned and forecast across roles such as Copywriter, designer, Project Manager and others.
The update also includes usability improvements. It is simpler to link tasks with events, and access to task information is now more intuitive. Users can click anywhere on the task box to open the task in the detailed view. This functionality has also been extended to quotes within the pipeline view.
Within the help centre, users can create their own account and enable them to track multiple tickets, rather than having to search their mailboxes.
