NetSuite is adding Guided Learning for customers. The aim of such embedded Guided Learning is to aid Oracle NetSuite users to leverage the capabilities of the NetSuite suite with training resources specifically designed to accelerate adoption and enhance skills.
“To fully maximize software investments and adapt to evolving needs, businesses must provide employees continuous learning opportunities. This requires expert training resources and support that is accessible, convenient, and comprehensible – all of which may not be available in-house,” said David Rodman, Senior Vice President of Customer Success, Oracle NetSuite.
“NetSuite remains committed to expanding continuous learning support for our customers to help run their businesses better. Whether onboarding new users or adopting more features, NetSuite Guided Learning offers customers immediate access to resources that allow employees to build their skills.”
NetSuite Guided Learning
To help customers obtain the maximum value from their investment in NetSuite and to accelerate adoption, there is NetSuite Guided Learning. NetSuite Guided Learning will provide step-by-step guidance embedded within NetSuite with the objective of enabling users to educate themselves about:
- system functionality and features
- how to use these.
NetSuite Guided Learning includes the following guides:
- role-based guides
- key task guides.
Role-based guides are introductory. They offer role-specific resources so that users can learn about their dashboard and available tabs. For example, a user with a sales team role can learn more about where to find the latest information on leads and activities.
In contrast, key task guides are interactive. They showcase key NetSuite features so that users can improve productivity and efficiency. For example, a user can find help on how to personalize a dashboard or create shortcuts in NetSuite.
Additional and supplementary resources
Additional learning and support resources accessible from Guided Learning include:
- NetSuite MyLearn: this is a digital learning platform with access to personalised learning paths, on-demand modules, live interactive webinar training and practice environments
- SuiteAnswers: a comprehensive knowledge centre with searchable access, this offers support articles, help topics and training videos
- the NetSuite Support Community: as a global, online forum, customers, partners and developers can ask questions, obtain information on updates and make new connections within the NetSuite community.
Enterprise Times: what does this mean
These aims are noble: encouraging users of NetSuite to exploit its features and capabilities makes sense both for users and NetSuite. For the former, there is now an online path to finding out how ‘to get more’ out of the software. For the latter, the more capabilities users use, the less likely that any change (from NetSuite) is likely to occur. In effect, loyalty comes as a function of depth of use and familiarity.
NetSuite Guided Learning will eventually be available in 27 languages to all NetSuite customers. It should arrive within the next year.
According to NetSuite, all licensed customers will obtain access at no additional cost. If exploited as NetSuite intends, this should mean the learning guides should help businesses reduce time spent on training while also improving productivity and employee skills.
