Zepto Consulting is an IT services and consulting firm specialising in next-generation IT transformations. Founded in 20210 in Malaysia, it opened an office in Singapore in 2016 and works with technology partners such as Microsoft, AWS, CODETWO, Quest, ManageEngine, VMWare, Adobe and now SIOS.

For its core specialities, it lists Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS cloud, Microsoft information workers platform (messaging, collaborations, infrastructure), Automation Edge, SIOS DataKeeper, Jabra/Polycom/Plantronics/Logitech video conferencing, and Lepide/ManageEngine auditing solutions.

Zepto will now resell SIOS DataKeeper and SIOS LifeKeeper products across Southeast Asia. Its goal is to deliver high availability for IT systems, including applications, databases, and file storage in on-premises data centres and the cloud. Zepto clients included Alliance Bank, KPJ Healthcare, Astro, UEM, Kontena National and Berjaya Sompo Insurance.

With its new certifications on SIOS products, though none were listed as of writing this piece on its certifications page, Zepto will expect to help new and existing customers to improve their organisation’s resilience by delivering high availability to their IT systems.

Zepto will sell, implement and support SIOS applications bringing high-availability services into its portfolio that already includes automation, virtualisation, Cloud, unified communication and security.

Zepto Consulting is SIOS Technology’s first partner in Malaysia, though it will have competition in Singapore from Business Connectivity Pte Ltd. Other AsiaPac partners include Daone CNS Co. Ltd (Korea) and MetaAge (Taiwan). The SIOS Technology Group is headquartered in Japan, where it was originally founded.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Zepto is not a huge firm, with 13 employees listed on LinkedIn, though the LinkedIn company page says 10-50. However, its customer and partner list is long, and it will be interesting to see how it continues to deliver sales.

For organisations in APAC, Zepto now offers another option for them to build high-availability solutions for ERP and database solutions such as SQL Server, SAP HANA, Oracle, and MaxDB. With HA and disaster recovery, and organisational resilience increasing in importance, this is a wise move by Zepto as it looks to expand its capabilities.

For SIOS, it adds another partner to a growing list. Whilst Zepto is relatively small, it has a focus that enables its expert consultants to help customers deliver the transformations they are looking for. Is this the beginning of a major expansion for SIOS in the region? Will it look to bring its solutions to other countries? The omission on the SIOS partner list is in ANZ, which appears to have no dedicated reseller partners. Surprisingly, none are listed in Japan, though it may retain a direct selling model there.
