At HIMSS in Chicago, several companies (see below) made announcements. They included Infor launching FHIR Onramp (IFOR) on AWS, and adding an AWS HealthLake partnership. Indeed launched the Pay for Results pricing/business model for its job boards.

Stuart Deignan, Managing Director, UK at Globant, shared a tip about how to move the conversation from project selling to partnership selling.

There was also a fascinating podcast with Sridhar Iyengar of Zoho about Cloud Economics and Business Strategy. In the conversation, Iyengar revealed how Zoho had scorned the hyperscalers and that its customers are now reaping the benefits.

Pick of the week

At the OneStream conference, the corporate performance management vendor announced OneStream Solution Exchange. It extends the OneStream marketplace with two new communities, one for partners and one for developers. The Solution Exchange will have three portals: MarketPlace, PartnerPlace and OpenPlace.

MarketPlace solutions will continue to be developed, maintained and supported by OneStream.

PartnerPlace will provide value-added solutions developed, maintained and supported by our partner community. Solutions will be priced and licensed for download by customers and supported by the respective partners. Initial launch partners include:

  • AMCO: Lease Accounting
  • Black Diamond Advisory: OneStream Utility Bundle
  • Finit: DrillIt, AllocateIt, and ToolkIt
  • Spaulding Ridge: Dynamic Cash Flow
  • Strategic IQ: Automotive Planning Factory

OpenPlace solutions are community-shared solutions and capabilities that may be provided by all members of the OneStream ecosystem. These solutions may be supplemented by a moderated forum on OneStream’s OneCommunity user site

Initial OpenPlace solutions include the following:

  • OneStream CPM Blueprint – provides a best practices framework that helps accelerate speed to value for implementations by incorporating leading design patterns to address common requirements derived from hundreds of customer deployments.
  • OneStream ESG Blueprint – provides organizations with pre-defined calculations for Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions and configuration of ESG-specific reporting and planning capabilities through the OneStream platform.

Acquisitions

ThoughSpot announced the acquisition of all employees of SagasIT Analytics, an analytics consulting services company based in Bangalore. The employees will form the India Customer Center of Excellence (CCOE) to support ThoughtSpot’s global go-to-market team

Anaplan has appointed Adam Thier to the position of Chief Product Officer.

beqom has named Cory Rhoads, an experienced leader in enterprise SaaS sales, as Head of Sales for the US.

BILL announced that Ken Moss had joined the company as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Boomi announced the appointment of Greg Wolfe as Chief Commercial Officer, Rahim Bhatia as Chief Strategy Officer and Jessica Soisson as Chief Accounting Officer. Dan McAllister joins the company as Senior Vice President of Global Alliances and Channels, and Troy Anderson joins as Global Commercial Market Vice President.

Celonis has appointed Rudolf (Rudy) Kuhn as Lead Transformation Evangelist.

Betterworks announced an embedded analytics partnership with Visier, the globally recognized leader in people analytics, to provide HR leaders with deep people insights around what drives employee success in the workplace.

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) and ConnectWise, announced a strategic collaboration to deliver upon their shared vision of providing secure and efficient managed services through their extensive channel partner networks. The first deliverable is a managed Print Security Service offering unique print security visibility for Sharp devices.

Deloitte announced the expansion of its operating system for health care to include implementation, operation and advisory services for Oracle, a leading provider of operational and clinical technology for hospitals and health care systems worldwide.

Deloitte has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Manufacturing and Industrial Competency. Deloitte also announced a multi-party engagement with Amazon Web Services (AWS), HighByte and Element Analytics, Inc. to innovate a new data management offering based on AWS’s Industrial Data Fabric offerings. This combines Partner Solutions with prescriptive guidance to use AWS services to enable digital transformation with an open industrial data framework.

Mendix is expanding its low-code ecosystem with a new generation of technology partners and integrated solutions. One of these ISV partners, In Motion, has built a suite of modular, cloud-native solutions called Policysense that enables and accelerates an insurer’s critical processes, including sales, distribution, claims, policy administration, reinsurance, and premium collection.

Pegasystems announced a new partnership with Tealium, an industry-leading customer data platform (CDP). This partnership enables connectivity between Pega Customer Decision Hub and Tealium’s Customer Data Platform so brands can leverage first-party behavioural data and AI-powered decisioning to deliver relevance and empathy during every customer interaction.

Qualtrics revealed Q1 2023 results. Total revenue for the first quarter was $409.8 million, up from $335.6 million one year ago, an increase of 22% year over year. Subscription revenue for the first quarter was $339.8 million, up from $280.8 million one year ago, an increase of 21% year over year.

Access announced the release of Access Definitiv V3.8. The update includes better support for organisation shortcodes, public holidays and iBeacons.

Aderant announced the upcoming launch of Onyx – a revolutionary AI-powered solution that will transform Outside Counsel Guideline (OCG) compliance for law firms – at its upcoming Global Momentum conference in Denver, CO.

AuditBoard announced that the company is now providing local data hosting capabilities to enterprises based in Canada.

NICE  launched its breakthrough Suspicious Activity Monitoring (SAM-10) solution. It is built to detect more suspicious activity while reducing false positives. NICE Actimize’s SAM-10 introduces significant enhancement, incorporating multiple layers of defence which strengthen the others and offer comprehensive coverage and detection of suspicious activity for financial institutions.

Nintex announced a transition plan for Nintex Workflow for Office 365 customers following Microsoft’s decision to retire the existing Microsoft SharePoint 2013 workflow engine in Microsoft Office 365.

Quantexa announced the global availability of its Decision Intelligence Platform and solutions on Google Cloud Marketplace, making it simple for global enterprise customers to trust their data and make quicker and more informed decisions to protect, optimize, and grow their businesses.

Rockset announced native support for vector embeddings, enabling organizations to build high-performance vector search applications at scale in the cloud.

Salesforce announced new Einstein GPT and Data Cloud capabilities for Flow, its portfolio of automation tools. Salesforce unveiled new capabilities and compliance certifications across Customer 360 for Public Sector. Salesforce Government Cloud Plus – Defense has now achieved DISA Impact Level 5 provisional authorization.
