Epicor revealed that it is expanding its presence in India following significant success and opening up a new data centre. Enterprise Times published an interview with Mark Bloomer, the UK Managing Director, Arribatec, a Unit4 and RamBase partner.

Deltek, the project-centric ERP vendor, appointed Dinakar Hituvalli as CTO. There were also several customer stories covered last week. Rootstock was selected by St Louis based Engineered Corrosion Solutions. Tosunoğlu, the Turkish textile manufacturer, selected Infor over IFS and Canias40 ERP. Sage launched Sage Planning and Budgeting in the UK Market. At CloudWorld tour in London, Safra Catz, CEO of Oracle, led a keynote with several announcements around AI and Automation capabilities for Oracle Applications.

Appointments

Oracle has appointed Seema Verma as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Life Sciences. In this role, she will lead the Oracle Life Sciences and Oracle Cerner Enviza lines of business.

Ramco announced the recent appointments of Paul Nikhil Prasad as Business Head of Managed Payroll Services and Johnson Louis as Head of Global Payroll Operations.

Xero announced Dave Lee had been appointed as Planday’s new CEO, effective 1 May 2023.

Business

Intuit has revealed partnerships with GRID Alternatives and its Tribal Solar Accelerator Fund, along with Clearloop and Secure Solar Futures, to bring renewable energy and job opportunities to underserved areas in the US.

Microsoft Corp and Epic announced they are expanding their long-standing strategic collaboration to develop and integrate generative AI into healthcare by combining the scale and power of Azure OpenAI Service1 with Epic’s industry-leading electronic health record (EHR) software.

Workday announced continued momentum within the healthcare industry, having recently added several new healthcare organizations to its growing global roster of customers.

Customer

Infor announced that Grupo Servica, a logistics company in Costa Rica, has selected the Infor WMS warehouse management solution. Grupo Servica is adopting Infor to manage logistical operations and continue its steady growth while increasing customer services.

NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) announced that it had selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to help build an Integrated Single Financial Environment (ISFE) for NHS England. Avon and Somerset Police, the police force based in South-West England, has selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to help make its operations more efficient and support its vision to deliver outstanding policing for everyone.

Oracle NetSuite revealed how Trac3 moved from QuickBooks and Excel to NetSuite ERP. They then moved to Dynamics and Kimble PSA (now Kantata SX) but found limitations with Dynamics, and a lack of integration between Kimble and Dynamics led them back to NetSuite.

Shearwater Health, a leading healthcare solution provider, has signed an agreement with global enterprise software provider, Ramco Systems, to implement Ramco’s Global Payroll & Operational HR solution and digitally transform the HR and payroll operations for its 4000+ employees.

Financial Reports

SAP

SAP announced its Q1, 2023 results. Cloud revenue rose 24% and was up 22% at constant currencies, up 1 percentage point sequentially. SAP S/4HANA cloud revenue is up 77% and 75% at constant currencies. Total revenue rose 10% to €7.441 billion.

Christian Klein, CEO of SAP, commented, “We have entered a powerful new phase in our strategic transformation, with top-line and bottom-line results clearly demonstrating the tipping point we passed in the fourth quarter 2022. Our cloud momentum continues at a fast pace which is contributing to our strong revenue and double-digit non-IFRS operating profit growth this quarter.”

Product

FreeAgent unveiled new branding, logo, and font across its web app and website. The change will also happen on April 24th on its mobile app.

Infor has announced the Infor Talent Empowerment solution, the company’s vision for helping organizations personalize career mobility at work.

Oracle has added new Redwood UX resources to the Oracle Applications Platform. With new UX components, templates, and services for HR, finance, supply chain, and sales, customers and partners can build secure apps that complement and seamlessly integrate with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.

Paperless Parts announced it had released platform capabilities designed to bring new levels of control and security to the U.S. manufacturing supply chain. The Paperless Parts IT Module puts the necessary systems, and IT controls in place to ensure that sensitive data, especially Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), is handled appropriately throughout the quoting process.

Sage has launched Sage X3 Worksite Management in France for mid-sized businesses. Sage partnered with IBAT and Experium Consulting to help extend the solution and bring it to market.

Simpro Premium 23.2.2 is out with the ability to protect the information of archived employees and contractors, along with several other enhancements. Simpro has added paging to attachment lists for iOS and Android versions of Simpro Mobile, enabling users to view 50 attachments at a time on each page.
