Vizibl has announced the appointment of Richard Hogg as CEO. He will replace Mark Perera, the founder who has led Vizibl since 2014. Perera will transition to a board-level advisory role and continue to bring his vision, market expertise, and leadership insights. Perera has stepped down as an executive, giving Hogg complete control, though with oversight.

Hogg has extensive experience in the procurement and supply chain enterprise SaaS market. His career spans more than 25 years. He began his career in sales before moving into a management position at Achilles Information Ltd. Hogg spent 15 years at Jaggaer, where he led teams and business units within several regions. He took a sabbatical, working for the Royal Voluntary Service during COVID before returning to work as General Manager at Soutbee in EMEA.
His diverse experience will help Vizibl scale up when the firm is helping its enterprise customers to deliver on complex objectives such as sustainability and resilience. He will help identify new revenue streams and take Vizibl further on its growth journey. He will further Vizibl’s chief objective of enabling its roster of enterprise clients to better leverage their supplier relationships
Hogg commented, “This is a pivotal time to be joining Vizibl. With mounting, widespread challenges to the success and longevity of global enterprises, it is absolutely crucial that large organisations work more effectively with stakeholders in their value chain in order to deliver on their strategic objectives around sustainability, transformation, and growth.
“Vizibl has led the market in enabling that collaboration, and I look forward to building upon the excellent work that Mark and the team have accomplished thus far as we continue to support our customers in securing competitive advantage over their peers.”
Perera commented, “Richard brings a dedication to customer experience, combined with operational rigour and deep knowledge of scaling procurement SaaS offerings. This combination will be invaluable as we continue to deliver strategic solutions to our global enterprise clients. I will be remaining active in the business to continue to amplify our mission, vision, and position in the market, supporting Richard and his goals for the business.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Vizibl enters a new phase as its founder steps aside for a new CEO. It is a brave step that founders often find difficult to take. However, Hogg brings a wealth of industry experience. He has the knowledge of working in larger organisations and growing business units at an important time for Vizibl. Sometimes founders envision building a successful startup but are less enthused about taking their company to the next growth phase. Perera hopes Hogg can deliver on this as the company looks to continue innovating and growing.
Last July, Vizibl launched a new module, Supplier Sustainability Management, and then extended this with its new ‘Decarbonisation as a Service’ offering earlier this year. The service provides rapid access to the Supplier Sustainability Management solution.
It helps establish relationships with the supplier cohort representing the majority of the scope 3 emissions and quickly assess their performance using pre-configured CDP and SBTi frameworks. Organisations can move forward to emissions reduction actions through the Relationship Manager, Collaboration Workspace, and Innovation Hub.
While the emphasis has been on sustainability, it will be interesting to see where Hogg looks to lead Vizibl next. Is this appointment also a signal for Vizibl to raise new funding? It last raised funds in 2019 in a Series A round led by Seneca partners.
