Planview can now offer its Value Stream Management solution, Planview Tasktop Viz, to the Department of Defense and other federal agencies with an Impact Level 4 (IL4) authorization. Planview was authorised in partnership with Rise8, a digital transformation service firm for to federal agencies, and Planview partner. The accreditation was achieved through the Game Warden platform provided by Second Front Systems.
Bryon Kroeger, Founder and CEO of Rise8 and former Co-Founder and COO of the USAF’s Kessel Run, a division in the U.S. Air Force, commented, “There is an urgency to speed up digital transformation initiatives at the federal level. This authorization brings a secure and efficient VSM solution to the federal market and helps agencies make important technical strides. VSM is critical to the federal government by helping break down silos, seamlessly connect and streamline data and process flows, and improve delivery at scale.”
Federal Government agencies were asked to “build a 21st century digital Government that delivers better digital services to the American people.” Since the beginning of the pandemic, agencies have faced huge challenges that digital transformation has overcome. However, the pace of change within existing and the emergence of new solutions is not slowing. Managing and understanding where to seek the best value for taxpayers’ money is a challenge that value stream management solutions can address.
Mik Kersten, CTO of Planview and creator of the Flow Framework, commented, “With our VSM solution authorized to operate at the federal level, leaders can now gain unprecedented visibility into transformation efforts. We are helping to close the digital divide between the public’s expectations of modern digital experiences and what technology services the federal government can offer when building on large, complex, and legacy systems. Planview Tasktop Viz offers clear, simple visibility by enabling data-driven decisions, uncovering bottlenecks that result in delays in planning, and gaining actionable items upfront.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean?
This announcement opens opportunities for Planview and the Tasktop applications acquired last year. Since then, the solution has seen industry recognition. It was named a leader in the Forrester Wave: Value Stream Management, Q4 2022 report.
For Rise8, it is a useful addition to its portfolio of solutions that it can deliver to Federal agencies across the US.
