Infosys’ wireless 5G expertise and Private Network Management solution ensure high bandwidth, low latency, and reliable wireless connectivity for enterprises.
Private 5G is a wireless network technology that delivers flexible connectivity for private network use cases. This could include private businesses, third-party providers and local authorities and municipalities. Private 5G is an alternative to Wi-Fi, along with other wireless options, like public Long-Term Evolution (LTE) and public 5G.
The Private 5G-as-a-Service is customised to the specific needs of clients and implemented in an agile and timebound manner. To reduce the complexity of deployment, Infosys has pre-integrated the 5G stack from multiple product vendors. The company tested the service against different use case requirements. Private 5G-as-a-Service is managed using a unified management solution. The service provides real-time insights of the operation and performance of the 5G private network.
Incorporating Multi-access Edge Computing
Infosys’ Private 5G-as-a-Service incorporates Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC). This reduces network lag further by minimising the time required for data processing. It enables a much more reliable network operation for high-bandwidth enterprise use cases such as remote-guided vehicles.
In addition to drone-based real-time analytics, high-definition media & video analytics, metaverse solutions and a variety of IoT/industrial IoT applications. Infosys’ collaboration with its partner ecosystem offers reduced time-to-market and total cost of ownership of Private 5G rollout to clients.
