Oracle NetSuite has launched NetSuite Connector for Shopify, Shopify POS, and ShipStation solutions. NetSuite says the solutions helps keep vital information centralised and aims to eliminate manual data entry, costly errors, and delays. The new connector automates the near real-time transfer of data between applications.
“One of the biggest challenges of managing multiple sales and distribution channels is maintaining a single source of truth. This is important when data moves between ecommerce storefronts, point of sale systems, third-party logistics, and an ERP system,” said Evan Goldberg, founder and EVP, Oracle NetSuite. “NetSuite Connector helps address this challenge by giving customers a consolidated view across their essential operational data. By synchronising with Shopify, Shopify POS, and ShipStation, customers can improve inventory visibility, streamline order processing and fulfilment, and drive accounting efficiencies.”
NetSuite Connector allows UK customers to set up data mapping between NetSuite and Shopify eCommerce storefronts, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and third-party logistics (3PL) provider ShipStation. By automating the transfer of data, NetSuite helps organisations keep information centralised, eliminate manual data entry. The company expects this to increase customer satisfaction by accurately tracking inventory and streamlining order processing and fulfilment. With this information flowing through NetSuite, finance teams can simplify and accelerate the process of recording transactions. In addition to managing payables and receivables, collecting taxes, and closing the books.
Speaking at SuiteConnect event in London, Goldberg suggests, “Connectors are the two new ways NetSuite gives businesses flexibility and agility. And that’s really the name of the game today in business.”

- 3PL Order Sync: Helps organisations manage inventory and track transactions by synchronising orders between NetSuite and ShipStation.

“ERP is the secret to the most successful eCommerce brands. This means you want your data to flow through your ERP system as easily as possible,” said Ritu Khanna, VP of global partnerships, Shopify. “The NetSuite Connector for Shopify brings together critical business data like financials and inventory into one centralised place. Merchants can optimise operations and run processes more smoothly as complexity increases. This is something we’ve seen high demand for from our merchants. Now they can access the best in ERP and the best in commerce connected in one place.”
Enterprise Time: What this means for business
Increasingly businesses must embrace the ability to manage data from one pot. Data has to be integrated across all the key pillars of the business. In addition, this integration must be done seamlessly and with automation. Needless to say, it appears that the connector completes this challenge on a number of fronts. It can help support operational efficiencies by improving inventory visibility, streamlining order processing and fulfilment, and simplifying accounting. The order management processes are automated. Brands and retailers can fulfil orders and update the customer by posting the shipping details to the web store orders. NetSuite say customers have been able to simplify the order process, improved accuracy, and reduce order processing time. As a result, customers have been able to better handle customer requests.
