A slow week for news as people returned to the desk for 2023. Unit4 celebrated another ERP win in the public sector, this time, St Helens Borough has selected the ERP solution. Journyx, the time tracking vendor, has integrated its solution with Sage Intacct, and it is now listed on the Sage Intacct Marketplace, adding that vendor to the list of ERP solutions it now integrates with.

Visma has appointed T. Alexander Lystad as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Merete Hverven, CEO of Visma, commented, “I’m delighted to have T. Intuit unveiled its TurboTax 2023 brand campaign, “Come to TurboTax”. The integrated campaign reminds people that they can come to TurboTax and not do their taxes. Instead, they can meet with a dedicated TurboTax Expert while they do their taxes to “get back to: Not Taxes.”
SAP looked back over the holiday spending season, revealing that SAP Commerce Cloud powered US$31.9 billion in digital commerce gross merchandise value (GMV) for the entire holiday season, covering more than 70 countries worldwide. SAP Retail customers saw a year-over-year increase of 80% in GMV, with a 29% increase in average order value (AOV). Riad Hijal, global head of Marketing and Solution for SAP Commerce Cloud, said, “Despite the challenging macro-economic environment, SAP Commerce Cloud retail customers were able to achieve record-breaking holiday results. Our embedded intelligence and broad capability set enabled them to identify and target the right customers with relevant promotions and offers without over-sacrificing margin. This led to higher conversion rates, AOV, and ultimately profitability.”

Oracle revealed that Cape Union Mart, the one-stop destination for outdoor enthusiasts, travellers, and explorers, is leveraging Oracle Cloud for Retail solutions to optimise its financials, fulfilment, store assortments, and inventory. It has deployed Oracle Retail Merchandising Cloud Service, Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning Cloud Services, Oracle Retail Assortment Planning Cloud Service, and Oracle Retail Science Cloud Services running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The brand also leverages Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

The Hyde Group, a social housing organisation, has signed a three-year contract extension with TotalMobile to continue providing its Field Service Management solution. After two years of successfully using the FSM solution to help maintain its 48,000 homes, Hyde will expand its use of the Totalmobile solution adding Asset Management, Safer Homes, Building Safety and Neighbourhoods. Mark Batchelor, Director of Property Services at Hyde, said, “When we first contracted Totalmobile, we were looking for a unified solution that would interact smoothly between all parties – ourselves, customers, contractors etc. By employing a single system, we were able to eliminate the need for multi-systems and licences and transfer our entire team to one solution that had all the necessary information. The impact on our customers is also huge as they are now able to use a single portal to report any problems, or follow the progress of a job, in the same way we are.

Jobber announced its third annual virtual conference; Jobber Summit will take place on March 1. Free to attend, the company also announced some headline speakers that will attend the event. SAP has added a starter pack of SAP Build Process Automation in the public edition of SAP S/4HANA Cloud. This enhances SAP Build, which was recently announced at SAP TechEd. The SAP Build Process Automation solution integrates seamlessly with SAP S/4HANA Cloud to improve the processes that are already running by decreasing processing times, improving service quality, and reducing manual errors.
simPRO revealed two releases, simPRO 22.4.7 and simPRO IoT 3.3. The update to simPRO IoT included creating scheduled reports that generate emailed CVS files. simPRO 22.4.7 contains more than twenty bug fixes.
ZumZum added a new feature that enables companies to automatically create Bank Supplier Refunds with a new Bank Supplier Refund API. Other enhancements within version 1.483 include additional functionality within Expense Sheets and additional configuration options.
