Journyx has announced a new partnership with Sage and has its time-tracking solution listed on the Sage Intacct Marketplace. The Journyx time tracking enables organisations to save time with a sophisticated yet simple-to-use solution that delivers project-based tracking from a desktop or mobile. There is a mobile app. It’s supported on both iOS and Android that offers employees an easy way to track time, with geofencing capabilities and features that enable employees to request time off, and supervisors to approve and edit time cards.
What Journyx offers
The application offers several benefits to Sage Intacct customers, including the following:
- A comprehensive permissions overlay that supports workflows, approvals and data validation rules for time and expense approvals. The integration with Sage Intacct leverages information already available in Sage Intacct.
- Project-based time tracking and accounting for budget/resource management. Administrators can create work breakdown structures, create projects from Sage Intacct data/and exercise more granular control over resource access to specific tasks, so that employees only see what they’re allowed to work on in their timesheets.
- Easy entry one time and in one place to track project time, overhead, equipment, paid time off and reimbursable expenses, quickly and easily in the same user interface.
- Integration to popular Business intelligence solutions allows access to Journyx data in external apps like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc., to create flexible, customized reporting and refresh as soon as new data is available.
- Intelligent timesheets that offer suggestions based on time spent by users in calendar entries or emails.
Lance Ellisor, Chief Operating Officer at Journyx, commented, “Sage Intacct customers can now benefit from seamless integration with the most advanced time tracking software solution in the market. By integrating Journyx with Sage Intacct, businesses get the most powerful, flexible project time tracking solution tied in with Sage’s robust accounting solution, all customized to the way they do business.”
Melody Williams, Sage’s Head of Business Development for Sage Intacct, stated, “We’re pleased to include Journyx as a new partner within our Sage Intacct Marketplace. Each of these solutions is vetted by the Sage Intacct team to ensure that our customers can trust that the software available in the Marketplace will work seamlessly with their Sage Intacct instance.”
After Microsoft, now Sage and next?
Historically, Journyx has worked closely with Microsoft with a listing on the Microsoft AppSource. It also has integrations with ADP, QuickBooks and Oracle NetSuite, but there are no listings in the ADP marketplace, QuickBooks App Store or SuiteApp.
Ellisor continued, “Journyx has long served customers of the Microsoft Dynamics family of ERP software with a rich and proven integration. We’ve now extended that productized integration and expertise to Sage Intacct. This new partnership with Sage is our first entrée into integration with other top ERP systems and we’re excited to start serving additional markets, customers, and ecosystems.”
The inference is that Journyx is looking to build further integrations. It may not be long before apps appear on the ADP, NetSuite and QuickBooks marketplaces.
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
For Journyx, this opens up a whole new market segment to explore for its time-tracking software. It will face fierce competition, though. Not only from the other listings on the Sage Marketplace that do time and expense but also from the PSA vendors. That it has invested in the integration and is looking to grow, without recent funding, is a brave move, especially if it intends to further expand its approach to the other marketplaces as well.
Will it attend the Sage Partner summit in May? It might then be able to forge relationships with a broader set of partners in the ecosystem to boost sales. It will be interesting to see how it plans to increase its footprint in the Sage Intacct ecosystem.
