Rosen Plaza (c) 2022 Rosen Hotels & ResortsRosen Hotels & Resorts has deepened its partnership with Infor and will deploy Infor Hospitality to manage critical business operations across the group’s seven properties. The hotel group will deploy Infor Hospitality to manage its financials, human resources, talent, analytics and workforce management.

Rosen already uses Infor d/EPM to maintain a clear and accurate operating budget. It has made a significant difference in the budgeting process. Mike Lewis, enterprise data analyst, Rosen Hotels & Resorts, said, “Budget recalculation used to take up to eight hours. With Infor d/EPM, the recalculation process is automatic, taking up to three minutes with just a click of a button.”

Rosen is now looking to extend the Infor footprint and expand the finance footprint beyond budgeting with a decision to move to the Infor Hospitality solution.

Replacing or combining with Agilysys?

The decision to move to Infor CloudSuite Hospitality for its back-office systems may alarm Agilysys, which already provides the front-of-house hospitality experience for Rosen. There is a crossover between the two solutions, notably in HR, and it will be interesting to see how those integration points are managed. The Infor OS provides an API gateway enabling the solutions to integrate.

Agilysys currently provides room reservations, check-in and check-out golf and spa management, Food & Beverage sales, catering and HR. It is unclear whether this includes financial management, though the Agilysys Visual One solution Rosen uses, has an accounting suite.

The Infor Hospitality solution provided does not appear to be the Infor HMS (Hospitality Management Solution) which would have inferred Rosen is replacing Agilysis completely. Instead, it will likely replace the existing financial management solution at the hotel group.

Infor hospitality will help Rosen to better manage the 7 hotels, 6,300+ guest rooms and suites and 730,000 square feet of high-tech meeting space. It will help build a real-time view of the business and enable the firm to adjust quickly during tough times for hospitality post-COVID.

Jim Bina, Rosen Hotels & Resorts director of finance, commented, “As a modern hotelier, we are always looking for ways to not only improve the guest experience but also improve workflow for our associates. This streamlined approach allows us to stay cutting edge, capitalize on critical data and intelligence, and synergize our various departments, therefore increasing efficiency.

“We are all about relationships here at Rosen and, for us, we felt Infor’s easy-to-use technology/applications will help us continue to be a leader in the hospitality industry while taking operations to the next level.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean?

Once deployed, Infor Hospitality will make the oversight of the Rosen business easier. The integration makes Infor d/EPM simpler to use and should provide a complete financial solution allowing the organisation to manage the business better.

Infor Hospitality will provide a single solution accessible from any location and enable the Rosen management team to track essential activities, trends, and outcomes. In turn, they can make rapid data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and profitability.

“Infor’s hospitality solutions are built to help hoteliers better manage people and processes. We are excited to partner with the team at Rosen Hotels & Resorts on this exciting new endeavour and digital transformation.”
