Cleo has announced deeper integrations between the Cleo Integration Cloud (CIC) platform and Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP. It has added two new solutions now available as part of the CIC Library. The two solutions are the Microsoft Dynamics 365 SCM-to-X12 Accelerator and the Connector for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 SCM-to-X12 Accelerator
The new integration comes at the same time Microsoft launched the Microsoft Supply Chain Platform. The Cleo solution will enable organisations to connect their Dynamics 365 Supply chain solutions through the X12 EDI integration. It will enable an organisation to reduce the complexity of supporting their EDI network and seamlessly integrate it into their Dynamics application.
The new Cleo solution will enable them to onboard trading partners faster. They can use pre-built schemas, rulesets, and business processes for easy development, deployment, execution, and testing. Those pre-built workflows enable end-to-end integration for their order-to-cash cycle. Elements support include the following:
- Inbound Purchase Order
- Outbound Order Acknowledgement
- Outbound Advance Shipment Notification (ASN)
- And Outbound Invoice, amongst others
Cleo believes that the new solution will speed up business processes by 4x. They will reduce the need for in-house experts with a no-code solution that builds the required business processes and their elements.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
The new D365 Business Central connectors enable organisations to quickly connect their ERP solution to their wider ecosystem. There is support for any EDI, API or file-based integrations. Off the shelf, there are connectors to marketplaces, eCommerce platforms, retailers, carriers and Freight Brokers.
In the release, Cleo highlights four connectors as examples to extend D365 with Cleo:
- Dynamics 365 Business Central to EDI X12
- Dynamics 365 Business Central to Shopify
- Dynamics 365 Business Central to Magento
- Dynamics 365 Business Central to Amazon
The connector enables organisations to integrate their software architecture, ensuring automation of the processes that flow through different applications. Cleo sees the solution as delivering three key benefits to IT teams:
- Speed time-to-revenue for EDI, eCommerce and Marketplace orders by configuring integration flows. No more coding
- Reduce implementation complexity and risk by leveraging proven, prebuilt business process logic
- Gain end-to-end visibility for every transaction resulting in operational efficiency and control
Mahesh Rajasekharan, president and CEO of Cleo, commented, “Cleo is maniacally focused on providing these timely pre-built solutions for our Microsoft Dynamics 365 users because digital transformation of supply chains is booming and companies desperately need our help to improve their agility. With Cleo’s new solutions, any integration developer or IT resource can quickly build integration flows with Microsoft Dynamics 365 SCM or Business Central, ensuring they keep pace with today’s rapidly changing global business environment.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Cleo has reacted quickly to the Microsoft launch of its supply chain platform. While Cleo is not mentioned in the Microsoft Blog covering the launch, the announcement is timely and provides organisations, which want to invest in the new Microsoft solution, surety that the integration points go beyond what Microsoft announced.
Cleo also published a demo video that explains the two new Cleo offerings in more detail. Cleo now needs to publish a case study around the benefits the new solutions have delivered to a customer.
