Three picks of the week with ConnectWise, Celonis and UKG holding conferences and making several announcements.

Celonis

At its conference, Celonis launched Celonis Process Sphere and Celonis Business Miner – a generational set of new capabilities that completely reinvent the process mining industry and set a new standard for simplicity and power in business execution.

The company also unveiled a partnership with Emporix launching the Emporix Commerce Execution Platform (CXP). The new solution will enable businesses to automatically optimize all facets of commerce orchestration on a minute-by-minute basis without having to touch the underlying ERP or supply chain systems.

A new partnership between Celonis and EcoVadis aims to make business procurement processes more sustainable. Celonis will integrate EcoVadis sustainability ratings data into the Celonis Execution Management System (EMS).

There was also a new set of Celonis execution management applications for collections management, credit management, and dispute management. Celonis also launched two new applications that will help customers address the urgent need to reduce carbon emissions, save time, cut costs and improve sustainability across their supply chain. These applications were developed in collaboration.

Archroma, a leading provider of speciality chemicals, is using Celonis applications to quantify the carbon emissions of more than 150,000 shipments in a pilot project for road transports and explore opportunities to reduce the emissions of potentially up to 6% by developing the methodology on process and data insights.

ConnectWise

During its annual conference IT Nation Connect, ConnectWise made several announcements. They included a series of business improvements reinforcing ConnectWise as a consistent centre of gravity for the TSP ecosystem.

Partnerships with Arrow and CompTIA. The partnership with Arrow will begin with integrating Arrow procurement, subscription management and client billing into the ConnectWise platform.

Mark Taylor, president of Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions business in North America, said, “This is the first time ConnectWise has teamed up with a distributor beyond standard integrations. We are pleased to share a collective focus with them that drives business innovation and creates enhanced solutions that help our combined channel partners continually optimize their business operations and reduce redundancies.”

Ticket to Tech is a new career training initiative from ConnectWise and CompTIA. It will begin with an initial cohort of 35 job seekers going through a month of training to prepare them for tech support jobs.

Amy Kardel, vice president of strategic workforce relationships, at CompTIA, commented, “Tech support professionals have greater responsibilities, and greater skills requirements, than ever. They are actively engaged in cloud computing, cybersecurity, data, networking and other disciplines, making tech support the ideal learning ground for career advancement.”

ConnectWise added two new consulting teams, the Product Security Response Team and ConnectWise Labs. The latter will support a new product, ConnectWise Access Management. On day two of the conference, other announcements included three new solutions: ConnectWise Vulnerability Management, SASE by ConnectWise and Exium, and IAM by ConnectWise and Evo.

UKG

UKG announced the debut of FleX by UKG, a modern technology platform purpose-built to support great workplaces. Flex consists of three main components Flex Fabric, Flex Flow and Flex Dev.

Hugo Sarrazin, chief product and technology officer at UKG, stated, “UKG is the HCM engine for the enterprise. FleX will help ensure this engine is always available to everyone in the flow of their work, empowering people to complete important HR, payroll, and workforce management actions through the many enterprise systems actively partnering with us. The future-proof FleX architecture will also ensure organizations can continually adapt to the changing needs of their people nearly in real time. These are just two of the many ways we’re keeping people, not process, at the center of digital transformations.”

UKG also announced it would embed UKG solutions into popular systems of engagement and communication, beginning with Microsoft Teams. It also launched UKG Labs, a startup ecosystem and virtual laboratory of early-stage companies from around the world with products and ideas poised to help transform the HCM landscape by tackling some of the most important challenges facing people now and in the near future.

UKG then announced the creation of a culture-focused partner ecosystem that will help even more businesses create truly great workplace experiences. Finally, it premiered the UKG Great Place To Work® Hub, an industry-first solution that combines decades of Great Place To Work benchmarks and Trust IndexTM survey results with UKG Pro human capital management (HCM) data to help leaders unlock the true drivers of engagement and performance at their organization and make more informed decisions about diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI&B) across their teams.

Acquisitions

OutSystems announced the acquisition of Ionic, one of the most widely used platforms for building mobile and desktop applications using web technology.

Appointments

Alteryx has appointed Kazuyo Yamashita as director of enterprise field sales for Japan. Yamashita will lead the expansion of Alteryx’s business in Japan by promoting and utilising Alteryx’s products in the Japanese market.

Denodo has appointed Daniel Lenderas as chief financial officer and Stephen Wellesas as chief legal officer.

Genesis has appointed Tej Sidhu as chief technology officer.

HubSpot appointed Alyssa Harvey Dawson as Chief Legal Officer (CLO).

iCIMS announced that Brian Provost would join as chief executive officer, effective December 1, 2022.

Pluralsight has appointed Kara DelVecchio as chief sales officer and member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The company also announced that Carie Buchanan, chief customer officer, and Todd Joseph, chief information officer, are being elevated to the ELT.

Talend appointed Casey George as its chief revenue officer.

Business

NTT DOCOMO and Accenture are collaborating to accelerate the adoption and application of Web3 for addressing social issues. They will promote ESG by creating case studies, establishing a secure technology platform for Web3 and developing talent.

Anaplan was named a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) G-Cloud 13 agreement, Which launched on 9th November.

The BRYTER Center for Digitalization & Law at EBS has expanded its offering to include a course on legal engineering, which will be offered beginning in 2023 with the support of BRYTER.

Centage launched a new company website. It reflects its continuing efforts to innovate and expand in the FP&A market and invest in product development, technology and support of customers by providing a superior user experience and best-of-breed budgeting, planning and forecasting solutions.

Ceridian announced the launch of Ideal Talent Marketplace at Ceridian INSIGHTS, the company’s global customer conference. Ideal Talent Marketplace leverages Ceridian’s innovation leadership in workforce management, talent intelligence, and on-demand pay, to deliver speed and flexibility in staffing for both organizations and workers.

Experian has partnered with the nonprofit Support The Enlisted Project (STEP) for financial literacy and credit education support. The partnership will bolster STEP’s Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) program, a financial behaviour intervention which melds five social work modalities and a change management process that helps young military members move from a financial crisis toward a lifetime of financial self-sufficiency.

Infosys announced a global collaboration with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management (Kellogg). Infosys and Kellogg will collaborate to accelerate Artificial Intelligence (AI)-centred education for Infosys employees over the next three years.

Lattice has partnered with Mosaic Consulting Group, a payroll, HR software, and workforce management consulting firm, as a critical component of its Partner Network Ecosystem.

Medius announced that Cashbook joins its partner program for Independent Software Developers (ISVs), Radius.

iBanFirst the payments service provider, will automate compliance across multiple jurisdictions and accelerate client onboarding following the selection of Fenergo software as a service (SaaS) Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) solution.

Informatica is partnering with one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare providers in Australia, Mater, to help the organization modernize and accelerate data migration to the cloud to fuel trusted data for decision-making and predictive analytics.

Kumon has chosen SOCi as its platform of record for localized marketing as the franchise shifted its business strategy due to the impact the pandemic had on learning for students.

Financial Reports

NICE reported its Q3 2022 results with 12.3% in total revenue ($554.7mn) YoY and cloud revenue of $330,5 mn, up 26.2% YoY.

Barak Eilam, CEO of NICE, commented, “We continue to thrive and are pushing full steam ahead as evidenced by another quarter of solid results across the board. We reported double-digit growth in total revenue driven by another excellent quarter in cloud revenue, which grew 27% at constant currency. We delivered another quarter of strong profitability, and we expect to continue to deliver profitable growth with operating income and earnings per share growing at double-digits moving forward.”

Teradata announced its Q3 2022 results. Total revenue was $417 million versus $460 million, a decrease of 9% year over year as reported and 4% in constant currency. Public cloud ARR of $279 million, an increase of 89% as reported and 99% in constant currency from the prior year period.

Steve McMillan, president and CEO of Teradata, said, “Teradata delivered our second largest cloud growth quarter. We believe Teradata can deliver the most powerful cloud analytics data platform, data warehouse, data lake, or lake house in the world, bringing mission-critical workloads to customers across their full spectrum of needs. Visier closed Q3 2022, ending October 31st, with an announcement that revealed the new logos, an acquisition and partnerships it announced in the quarter. Ryan Wong, co-founder and CEO of Visier, commented, “This quarter has been wildly productive for Visier. As the market matures and people analytics becomes a must-have for every organization, we’ve invested across pretty much every dimension, organically and inorganically. Funding

TriNet Group, Inc. (NYSE: TNET) (“TriNet” or the “Company”) announced today that it had commenced a modified “Dutch auction” tender offer (the “Tender Offer”) to purchase for cash up to $250 million in value of its common stock (the “Common Stock”) at a price per share not less than $63.00 and not greater than $72.00, less any applicable withholding taxes and without interest, using available cash on hand. On November 4, 2022, the closing price of the Common Stock was $61.75 per share. The Tender Offer will expire at 12 midnight, New York City time, at the end of the day on December 6, 2022, unless extended or terminated.

Product

ActiveCampaign revealed recent updates to its platform over the last quarter. They included postmark integration enabling firms to design and deliver marketing, sales and transactional emails in one platform, CRM account updates, Segmentation builder and integration with Facebook Lead Ads. The company also achieved SOC compliance.

At its 15th Annual Beyond the Black conference, BlackLine announced a new edition of its popular Modern Accounting Playbook (MAP) specifically for Cash Applications. Financial Reporting Analytics is a new solution that enables the analysis and validation of group-level financial data with direct, real-time visibility into the local or underlying details. The BlackLine Accounting Studio will unify BlackLine’s existing solutions across the Financial Close Management, Accounts Receivable (AR) Automation and Intercompany Financial Management (IFM) categories, as well as other financial applications and ERPs, into a single, controlled environment. There is also a new BlackLine Connector for Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Ceridian announced the availability of Dayforce Wallet, a revolutionary on-demand pay solution, in the United Kingdom (UK). At Ceridian INSIGHTS, the company’s global customer conference, a series of new Dayforce features are designed to help customers lead and succeed in the new world of work. Updates to Dayforce include an experience hub, mobile benefits enrollment, Dayforce Guides, Dayforce Skills Engine, Integration Studio and Career Explorer.

Contract Logix announced new artificial intelligence in contracts functionality, including support for data extraction, which gives businesses the ability to digitally transform their contract lifecycle management (CLM) with tremendous speed, accuracy, and automation.

DronaHQ has added platform updates, including Autogenerate CRUD, multi-step authentication methods, a shell script connector, connector logs and new UI controls.
