revolving door Image credit Pixabay/HansTricentis has appointed Suhail Ansari as Chief Technology Officer. Ansari is responsible for defining global tech strategy and delivering world-class products, experiences, and platforms to Tricentis customers and partners. He commented, “The speed of innovation for Software Quality Engineering is only growing, and Tricentis isn’t just keeping up, but leading the way. I’m excited to join the team and lend my experience to drive innovation that will fuel future growth.”

Leadership changes continue

The appointment also sees previous CTO Grigori Melnik step into the role of Chief Strategy Officer. He will lead the research team, determine the future direction of Tricentis and oversee the development of new products. The former Chief Strategy Officer and founder Wolfgang Platz is no longer listed on the leadership page but retains his position on the board. Platz is also the Founder and CEO of Katharo Ventures, a funding vehicle for startups.

Kevin Thompson, Chairman and CEO, continues to evolve his leadership team. Recent hires include Jen Lucas as Chief People Officer, Amanda Borichevsky as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, and Darren Beck as Chief Marketing Officer.

Thompson commented, “I’m truly in awe at the level of world-class talent we continue to bring onboard to Tricentis. We’re pleased to welcome Suhail Ansari as the latest member of the executive leadership team. Suhail’s robust experience building innovative products and leading world-class engineering, product, and data science teams will help us further strengthen our leadership in the Software Quality Engineering space.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Thompson arrived in April 2021 and has changed the leadership team significantly over the last few months. His arrival unusually did not occur with an influx of funding, with Crunchbase citing that the company last raised funding in 2017, a series B round led by Insight Partners. However, Insight may have invested more funds in the company to boost its growth. With a new Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, its go-to-market team is substantially changed. One of Thompson’s first appointments was also to promote Ian Steward to Chief Revenue Officer. Is this the dawn of a new era at Tricentis? What will the new dawn bring?
