Blockchain Catch-upThis is Charles Brett’s start-of-the-week Enterprise Times ‘blockchain catch-up’ 2022-Week 44. Necessarily it is idiosyncratic and selective.

It is not intended to be comprehensive but does seek to highlight ‘Quick Takes’ on specific developments as well interesting pieces to read, a listing of some (not all) announcements/press releases and pointers to upcoming events.

Quick Take(s) – Charles Brett’s Blockchain Catch-up 2022-Week 44

Boris Johnson to be keynote speaker at blockchain conference in Singapore

According to the Guardian, “Boris Johnson is to head to Singapore, in the latest of his post-prime ministerial travels, as the keynote speaker at a conference on blockchain.

“The former prime minister, who pulled out of the race to replace Liz Truss last week and is still the MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip, will deliver the keynote address speech at the International Symposium on Blockchain Advancements on 2 December.”

Quick Take: what Mr Johnson can add to the blockchain arena is mystifying, and probably not worth holding your breath. Another politician in the blockchain trough, adding little to technology but more to their pockets, seems more probable.
