At the SAP Spend Connect Live event, SAP announced several innovations, milestones and products. SAP Fieldglass, SAP Business Network for Procurement and SAP Business Network for Supply Chain solutions are now available in the SAP National Security Services (SAP NS2) portfolio. This is a regulated commercial environment that has been built to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) baseline per the FedRAMP moderate parameters.
SAP also hopes to add SAP Ariba Procurement solutions to the SAP NS2 portfolio. SAP Concur is also in progress for FedRAMP agency authorization.
Additionally, the company announced tighter integration between SAP Ariba and Icertis contract management solutions. It also demonstrated new buying 360 capabilities to the audience for SAP Ariba Procurement Solutions.
Looking forward, it will invest in category management capabilities. Muhammad Alam, president and chief product officer of Intelligent Spend and Business Network, SAP, announced, “We are increasing our focus and investment in developing solutions that will help our customers truly digitalize category management to turn data into insights that can lead to improved business outcomes.”
SAP Central Procurement, private cloud edition, is now available. It will help customers drive consistency, efficiency, visibility and control across multiple ERP solutions.

Microsoft announced its Q3 results ending September 30th 2022. Revenue was $50.1 billion and increased by 11% (up 16% in constant currency). Operating income was $21.5 billion and increased 6% (up 15% in constant currency). Microsoft Cloud revenue was $25.7 billion, up 24% (up 31% in constant currency) year-over-year.
Satya Nadella, chairman and chief executive officer of Microsoft, commented: “In a world facing increasing headwinds, digital technology is the ultimate tailwind. In this environment, we’re focused on helping our customers do more with less, while investing in secular growth areas and managing our cost structure in a disciplined way.”
SAP announced its Q3 2022 results. Cloud revenue is up 38% (€3.288 bn) and up 25% at constant currencies. SAP S/4HANA’s current cloud backlog is up 108% and 90% at constant currencies. Total revenue up 15% €7.841 bn.
