Professional Services Image by Gerd Altmann from PixabayBack from vacation, so here is a quick-fire roundup of last week’s PSA/PPM news. FinancialForce extended its digital hub, the FinancialForce community. Of note in the previous week and not covered by Enterprise Times was the launch of a new suite of features from Asana.

The Asana updates include several significant improvements. It added advanced reporting and dashboards for goals built on the proprietary Asana Work Graph. Using its integrations to solutions like Salesforce, Asana now gives users visibility around goal progress and the components, such as projects helping achieve those goals. Goal Snapshots provide instant feedback to senior leaders.

The vendor has also added and improved integrations to other software platforms. For example, teams can get immediate visibility into technical incidents through new Asana rules integrations with Twilio, notifying individuals of urgent tasks via SMS. An integration to PagerDuty automatically alerts teams by creating an incident for a timely response. Other rules integrations with Gmail and more will soon help customers aggregate information across several tools to stay connected and remove bottlenecks.

There is also a new Asana for Workplace from Meta integration that allows teams to turn Workplace conversations into actionable tasks, manage team projects, and coordinate work without switching tools.

Saket Srivastava, Chief Information Officer of Asana, commented, “Enterprise organizations face enormous uncertainty as they steer volatile market conditions. We’re hearing from our customers that they need better ways to align teams as priorities shift in order to accelerate growth. With Enterprise-Grade Goals that tie team priorities to business outcomes, workflow and integration updates that help cross-functional teams reduce redundancies and errors, and advanced security features, organizations can serve customers and stakeholders more effectively.”

Projector PSA

Projector has unveiled its Fall 2022 release. The announcement came in a blog revealing two new features contained within the release. It introduced a new privacy setting for HR data and improved management alerts.

The new privacy setting enables users to set time off to a specific reason, whether medical, vacation, parental leave or other. Only managers with permission can see the true reason for the time off, whereas others working on the project, including project managers, will only see “time off”. This protects the privacy of individuals but enables HR and Management to better understand each individual’s reasons.

Managers can now customise alert settings so that only important alerts are seen. It helps filter out those less important messages from home screens, so they only view messages relevant to their management level or tasks at hand.

Smartsheet

Smartsheet has unveiled its next Sponsor X, the Hidden Genius Project. It replaced the logo on the Mclaren Racing car at the Austin GrandProx this past weekend.

Brandon Nicholson, PhD, Founding Executive Director at The Hidden Genius Project, commented, “The Hidden Genius Project exists to empower and uplift young Black men by affording them opportunities to learn, innovate, and lead, and the global stage that Sponsor X provides illuminates their brilliance to tremendous proportions. The opportunity to collaborate with McLaren and Smartsheet is without question an amazing experience, and we hope this opportunity signals to Black youth and young people of colour around the world that we belong wherever our dreams can take us.”
