Tray.io raised $40 million in a delayed second half of its Series C funding round, with participation from an institutional investor. Pigment, the fast-growing French business planning application, raised $65 million to fund expansion and product development.

Section announced a new distributed GraphQL hosting service for its cloud-native hosting solution. ORO, the procurement management vendor, emerged from stealth at SuiteWorld, also held last week. Another new logo to emerge was Espria, a new services company that combines Mode and eacs.

UiPath made several announcements at its Forward 5 conference this week. They included:

OutSystems and UiPath announced a partnership to combine the power of the UiPath Business Automation Platform with OutSystem’s high-performance low-code.

UiPath announced that it is engaging with Microsoft to build best-in-class automation experiences and integrations between the two strategic partners. Microsoft Azure is a preferred cloud platform for UiPath, including the UiPath Automation Cloud™, while UiPath is a preferred enterprise automation partner at Microsoft.

UiPath announced a significant expansion of its strategic partnership with ManpowerGroup, a leading global workforce solutions company, to expand and accelerate go-to-market workforce solutions in automation.

UiPath announced the addition of Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)-enabled application programming interface (API) automation. It will significantly simplify how healthcare organizations exchange information across systems, with particular utility for accessing and using regulated FHIR endpoints.

UiPath unveiled its latest platform updates that bring developer-friendly automation innovations and put the power of automation behind more business processes. The updates include new developer capabilities for next-gen business apps, an Automation Hub with ROI comparisons and Process Mining with high scalability, improved performance, and new analytics for better process insights. They also enhanced platform intelligence with the recent acquisition of Re:infer, adding Communications Mining to the platform. It also added enterprise-grade advancements in Automation Cloud and Automation Suite.

UiPath also announced an enhanced partnership with qBotica, a Phoenix-based Robotic Process Automation (RPA) company and Diamond-level partner of UiPath. This partnership introduces Automation Cube, qBotica’s go-to-market UiPath managed services practice that offers customers advantages such as lower total cost of ownership and turnkey automation tailored to their industry and operations to simplify organizations’ implementation strategy.

Acquisitions

BTRS Holdings Inc. (“Billtrust”), a B2B accounts receivable automation and integrated payments leader, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by EQT X fund, part of EQT, a leading global investment organization, in an all-cash transaction valuing Billtrust’s equity at approximately $1.7 billion.

Globant announced the acquisitions of Sysdata, an Italian business and technology consultancy focused on delivering digital transformation.

Appointments

Eric Brown has been appointed to the beqom Board of Directors. Eric has a background in the technology sector and the Experience Economy, which are perfectly aligned with the strategic direction of beqom.

N-able has appointed one of the MSP industry’s founding executives Mike Cullen to General Manager of RMM.

Visier announced the appointment of Terrence Yong as VP & General Manager of APAC. Yong, who brings more than 20 years of experience in the APAC region, will lead Visier’s go-to-market functions in APAC, helping to fuel continued global expansion.

Zellis has appointed David Woodward as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO). David will join the Zellis Group Executive Committee and lead the technical and product development of HR and payroll software, from the Group’s Bristol headquarters.

Commusoft and City Plumbing announced a new partnership that will enable their clients to sync their Commusoft and City Plumbing accounts.

Ellucian announced a new partnership with higher education specialist consultancy DVE Solutions to resell Ellucian Quercus, a cloud-based Student Information System (SIS).

Fivetran announced significant upgrades to its partner referral program and launched new partner reseller and certification programs.

Globant and Topazium announced a partnership to deliver AI-powered preclinical, clinical, and diagnostic solutions to the life sciences industry. Globant and LaLiga reached an agreement to create a joint venture to establish a global technology company that will lead the reinvention of the sports and entertainment industry.

Infosys inaugurated the Infosys Digital Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Infosys also announced it would bring 1,000 jobs to Calgary over the next two years, doubling its original commitment from when the company first expanded into the region in 2021.

MHR Managed Services has achieved the Payroll Assurance Scheme (PAS) accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP).

Qlik announced two significant enhancements to its partnership with Databricks. First is the launch of the Databricks Lakehouse (Delta) Endpoint, a new capability in Qlik Data Integration, which will simplify and improve customers’ ability to ingest and deliver data to the Databricks Lakehouse. Second is the integration of Qlik Cloud® with Databricks Partner Connect, enhancing the Qlik Data Analytics trial experience with Databricks.

SirionLabs has strengthened its relationship with KPMG firms to extend its geographical presence and serve a growing number of customers in a broad range of industries, such as financial services, healthcare, IT and the public sector.

RING (erstwhile Kissht) — India’s digital lending and credit financing company is using Freshdesk to help streamline customer tickets, accelerate agent response time, and improve the overall customer experience.

A case study reveals that Funding Circle selected and implemented Gatekeeper as its supplier management solution. Funding Circle has centralised its supplier contracts, made £1m in savings, built due-diligence workflows and gained total visibility of spend. With this level of control, the business can continue to outsource to third-party suppliers without any of the pains previously experienced.

NTT Ltd announced a Private 5G (P5G) network expansion for the City of Las Vegas (CoLV) at Mobile World Congress 2022 (MWC) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The project involves deploying and provisioning NTT’s P5G to build the most extensive private network in the United States.
