This year’s product enhancements were also comprehensive, with several new modules launched. Enterprise Times covered some of the news last week and also spoke to Chris Benner of NetSuite about the state of retail.

The biggest announcement was perhaps the launch of NetSuite CPQ. It also revealed how Granite Partners has worked with NetSuite for over a decade. The VC firm insists on all its acquisitions implementing NetSuite and has seen the benefits.

In other covered news, Deltek completed its acquisition of Tip Technologies. Xero announced an updated integration with Procore to target construction firms across several regions.

At SuiteWorld, the company made several announcements, some of which were covered by Enterprise Times during the week. The full list includes twelve announcements.

NetSuite announced several new solutions and innovations across its platform. This release rounded up those updates.

  • The new NetSuite AP Automation module includes embedded banking services from HSBC, with more banks to come.
  • NetSuite CPQ was unveiled, formerly a partner solution from Verenia, it enables sales teams to quickly configure, price, and quote (CPQ) complex products with complete accuracy and reliability, directly in NetSuite.
  • NetSuite Ship Central is a mobile application that helps organizations optimize operations, eliminate manual processes, and accelerate customer deliveries.
  • The NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, built on the Oracle autonomous database, provides a data warehouse and analytics solution for NetSuite customers.
  • Oracle NetSuite announced NetSuite SuitePeople Workforce Management. SuitePeople Workforce Management helps organizations manage labour costs and profitability.

Orangetheory Fitness, a leading fitness brand and innovator in the fitness and wellness category, has selected Oracle NetSuite to help it in its mission to give more people a longer and more vibrant life.

Studio McGee, Inc., one of the premier innovators in the interior design industry, is working with Oracle NetSuite to help scale its business to meet soaring customer demand for homewares.

March of Dimes, a non-profit leading the fight for the health of all moms and babies, is using NetSuite to help support its mission.

Thread, a producer of functional, stylish, slim wallets, bags and accessories, is working with NetSuite and NetSuite Analytics Warehouse. Acquisitions

Visma has entered a transaction agreement to launch a voluntary cash offer of NOK 11.20 per share for all outstanding shares of the House of Control. It values the company at a market capitalisation of approximately NOK 689 million on a fully diluted basis.

Appointments

Acumatica has appointed Jim Desler as its Vice President of Communications. Desler will lead the company’s integrated communications efforts in this newly created role, bringing over 20 years of experience working at the nexus of government, business, and technology.

ECI Software has named former Blue Prism and Infor executive Chip Coyle as Chief Marketing Officer.

Business

Intuit announced it would no longer sell QuickBooks Online to the Mexican and Brazilian markets from October. It will still offer QuickBooks’s Rest of the World (ROW) edition. After April 30, 2023, the Quickbooks Online system will be permanently shut down. The accounting giant will now focus mainly on Anglophone markets and announced the opening of a new 116,000-square-foot office in Toronto, Canada.

Oracle and Teléfonos de México (TELMEX) have agreed to jointly offer Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services to customers across Mexico. Under the partnership, TELMEX-Triara will become the host partner for the second planned Oracle Cloud Region in Mexico.

Paperless Parts has opened a new office in Encinitas, California. The company, headquartered in Boston, has tripled in size over the last 15 months and employs nearly 150 people, with aggressive hiring plans throughout 2023.

Xero announced two commercial partnerships with The English Football Association (The FA) to champion women in football, highlighting the importance of financial viability in creating further opportunities on and off the pitch.

Kodiak Gas Services, LLC (Kodiak), the largest privately-owned contract compression company in the US, has selected IFS Cloud to enhance its cross-functional business operations.

ITV has selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to support the digital transformation of its finance and HR processes. BurgerFi, the Florida-based fast-casual chain, overhauled its point-of-sale systems with Oracle MICROS Simphony Cloud amid US expansion.

SUBARU Corporation has moved its simulation and 3D visualization workloads responsible for improving the quality of collision safety performance and driving performance to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The company improved its development cycle, gained significant efficiencies, and reduced operational costs by reducing computational timeframes by approximately 20% with High-Performance Computing (HPC) on OCI.

Exelon Corporation, the largest transmission and distribution utility company in the US, is moving its cloud-first vision forward with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Radiance Technologies, a Huntsville, Alabama-based firm that develops solutions for defence, intelligence and civilian clients like the US Army and US Air Force, is replacing its legacy ERP system with Unanet GovCon ERP and CRM.

Physicians Mutual has selected Workday Financial Management, Workday Adaptive Planning, Workday Accounting Center, and Workday Prism Analytics to help accelerate its digital finance transformation as it streamlines financial operations in the cloud.

Product

Blue Yonder announced two new solutions to dramatically speed up digitalization from warehousing to micro-fulfilment operations – Warehouse Execution System (WES) and Adaptive Fulfillment & Warehousing solutions.

FreeAgent rolled out the first of several updates to the mobile app it first launched in 2015. The week it unveiled a preview of the Rader Admin to-do list.

Oracle announced the availability of the Oracle Platform for Automotive Suppliers. The cloud platform, comprised of Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Analytics, and ISV partner solutions, enables automotive suppliers and high-tech and industrial manufacturers to accelerate the development of new products, supports automotive compliance, and helps increase manufacturing and supply chain efficiency.

Pandle now supports registration date locking for the VAT flat rate scheme.

Plex announced compliance enhancements to its Quality Management System (QMS) solution, Plex QMS, to meet updated Ford Motor Company Customer-Specific Requirements for IATF 16949:2016.

Xero has added more functionality to reports. Users can now automatically add accounts to report groups and include a chart on the Income by Contact report. They can also use the layout importer tool to help bring the saved row layout from an old Balance Sheet or Profit and Loss report across to the new reports.

Sridhar Vembu announced the launch of Zoho Books alongside Zoho Invoice and Zoho Inventory for the Kenya market as it continues to expand its presence in Africa.
