Partners shaking hands world Image by Gerd Altmann from PixabayVizibl has become a silver accredited solutions partner of CDP, the not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. Vizibl will support CDP’s network of organisations’ value chain engagement, scope 3 services, and stakeholder engagement. It will leverage the Vizibl Supplier Collaboration and Innovation platform to help organisations measure and meet their disclosure goals.

Vizibl is now listed as one of the accredited solutions providers. It is unique in offering the three services as a silver software partner. Gold partners such as advisory firm Edison Energy and solutions providers G17Eco and UL Solutions also do so.

Paul Robins,  CDP Head of Partnerships, commented: “CDP is delighted that Vizibl has come on board as a silver software solutions provider in the UK. Vizibl supports procurement organisations to manage every aspect of their supplier relationships more effectively and at scale by putting collaboration, innovation and sustainability at the heart of supplier relationships.”

What will this mean for Vizibl

For Vizibl, this is a significant step and potentially opens doors to major organisations and public sector bodies. In June, 263 financial institutions from 29 countries urged non-disclosing companies with a high environmental impact to disclose data through CDP.

Those institutions included Aviva, Cathay Financial Holdings, Legal and General, and Schroders. The intent was to persuade around 1,500 organisations, including Tesla Inc, Exxon Mobil Corporation, and Volvo Group, to start disclosing. Vizibl will hope this partnership helps to nudge open some of those doors.

Mark Perera, the CEO and Vizibl co-founder commented, “After the intensive accreditation process, we are thrilled to enter into this partnership with CDP. At Vizibl, we have been working closely with the world’s largest enterprise organisations to improve their supply chain sustainability.

“CDP data shows that an organisation’s value chain emissions are, on average, in excess of 11 times those of their own operations. By forging this partnership with the gold standard in environmental disclosure and reporting, we are equipping ourselves to provide the very best insights to our customers, and to expand our platform’s capabilities as the leading Supplier Collaboration and Innovation solution.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

There are 118 solutions partners accredited by CDP. Many are consultancies rather than having their own solutions. Membership should also help convince other partners to take on the Vizibl platform globally.

It is an interesting route to internationalisation and was not easy considering the rigorous process VIzbl had to go through. It will be interesting to see what further partnerships Vizibl can create with other partners over the next few months. Will this also translate into revenues?
