It was not the only announcement from SAP last week, as its major event had a physical element for the first time since the pandemic’s start.

There are several ERP related Acquisitions this week by Sage and Oracle. At the start of the week, Enterprise Times revealed that Oracle had announced the acquisition of Adi Insights to complement NetSuite with its time management solution. Deltek revealed how its growth in 2021 was assisted by the success of Deltek Ajera, its ERP solution for smaller AEC firms.

Acquisitions

Sage made two acquisitions last week. Futrli, the UK’s premier cash flow forecasting software solution for SMBs and accountants. It also acquired the French company Azuneed which offers online HRIS software solutions to simplify human resources management.

Appointments

IFS announced four senior appointments in North and Central Europe. Glenn Arnesen has been promoted to President, Global Install Base. Elni Kullmer has been promoted to Regional President for North and Central Europe. Ann-Kristin Sander has been promoted to Managing Director of the Nordics. Kent Mattsson has been appointed as Vice President, Service Management Business Unit for Europe North and Central.

Business

Practice Partners can now use FreeAgent to make MTD for ITSA submissions on behalf of their qualifying sole trader clients as part of HMRC’s pilot programme.

MYOB has partnered with Master Builders Australia to provide a seven-week online Business Resilience program as part of its Women Building Australia program, a joint initiative with the Australian Government.

In France, Sage published a book entitled “Chroniques Déconfinées” that revealed stories from 50 Sage employees during the lockdown in France and how their HR story unfolded.

IBM and SAP extended their partnership as IBM undertakes one of the world’s largest corporate transformation projects based on SAP ERP software. It will move SAP S/4HANA to the cloud, moving more than 375 TB of data to IBM Power on Red Hat Enterprise Linux on IBM Cloud.

Customer

Acumatica has revealed that Erickson International switched to Acumatica from Sage 100 and QuickBooks. Elena Mheidze, CFO of Erickson International, commented: “Acumatica has everything I need.”

Qarbon Aerospace has completed the enterprise-wide business systems transformation from Qarbon Aerospace’s legacy solution SAP to Deltek Costpoint.

TT Electronics, a global provider of engineered electronics for performance-critical applications, has extended its use of Esker’s Order-to-Cash (O2C) solutions to include Collections Management.

Centric has selected IFS Cloud to advance its digital transformation and centralise its IT environment. IFS solution partner Eqeep will implement and support the solution and roll it out across ten European countries.

After a cyber-attack that knocked out its systems, automotive supplier DBK David + Baader GmbH (DBK) migrated its ERP solution to the cloud-based Infor CloudSuite Automotive in three weeks. Jøtul, a leading supplier of fireplaces in Europe, will upgrade its current ERP solution to Infor M3 CloudSuite.

NetSuite revealed how Henry Bear’s Park chain of neighbourhood toy stores moved to NetSuite from Anthology in 2019. The Dallas Wings, a WNBA team based in Arlington, Texas, has selected Oracle NetSuite to support its journey to build a championship-calibre organization.

Unia, Switzerland’s largest trade union, has selected the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite to make its operations more efficient. It will deploy Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Customer Experience (CX). Nokia has selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) to consolidate and replace its Human Resources systems in the cloud as part of its global digitalization program. Diebold Nixdorf, a global leader in enabling connected commerce, has implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) to replace its network of local HR systems on a single platform. TriHealth, one of the top integrated health systems in Greater Cincinnati, has chosen Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) to simplify and consolidate its existing HR systems on a single platform.

Alliance Corp Manufacturing Holdings (ACM), an international provider of integrated contract manufacturing solutions for precision parts, mechatronics modules, and equipment headquartered in Malaysia, has partnered with Rimini Street to support its SAP S/4HANA software.

Cityzen Parking & Services, the market leader in car parks operation in Greece, has chosen SoftOne’s ECOS myDATA cloud solution to simplify myDATA management and remain aligned with the IAPR’s requirements for E-Books data transmission.

Financial Reports

Sage published its half-year results. Organic revenue growth was a solid 8%, with Sage Business Cloud growing 21%. Total revenue grew 5% to £924 million.

Xero also announced full-year results with operating revenue increasing 29% to NZ$ 1.1 billion. ARR grew by 28% to NZ$ 1.2 billion for the year ending 31st March 2022.

Product

Exact has released Exact Globe+ for new and existing customers. It is the latest release of Exact Globe that is used to manage 13,000 companies’ business processes.

Oracle has updated Oracle Service to embed data from Oracle Unity Customer Data Platform (CDP) to help customer service agents gain a complete view of the customer, improve agent efficiency, and enhance service quality. Features enabled include personalised agent routing, service-aware marketing, proactive service and intelligent recommendations.

Pandle’s latest release enables users to select the correct VAT registration date in Pandle.
