After only a few weeks Precisely has revealed the latest version of the Precisely Function Module (PFM) has been certified for SAP S/4HANA 2021 and SAP S/4HANA 2021 Cloud EX. PFM is an addon for SAP systems that “enables use of the standard recording mode and enhances security and efficiency with Automate Studio scripts.”

The announcement follows the release of version 20.2.8 of Automate Evolve, Automate Studio Manager and Automate Studio with Connect.

John Reda, SVP of product management – data integration, Precisely, commented: “Precisely makes a firm commitment to its customers to ensure the certification of its latest software versions as quickly as possible, ensuring there is no lapse in support for business-critical SAP processes. We understand that fast and agile SAP automation can be vital for building a foundation of accurate and consistent data – crucial elements of an organisation’s data integrity strategy. We are pleased to be the software provider of choice for automating SAP processes in over 2,400 enterprises around the globe.”

PFM (formerly Winshuttle Function Module) is an ABAP component installed on top of a customer’s SAP system. It enables SAP customers to work more efficiently with Precisely’s data entry processes and data extraction and analysis tools. PFM does not affect SAP standard or any customised code that users have added to their solution. More information on PFM is located here and installation instructions are here.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Precisely has wasted no time in getting PFM certified. However, SAP has not updated its list of certified vendors to match up with the change. It still lists Winshuttle rather than Precisely, despite the acquisition happening nearly 10 months ago. SAP will also need to update the entry for the Precisely (Winshuttle) Function Module on its website. As of writing, it was listed as WFM 20.2 (not 20.2.8)
