Epicor has started acquiring again. This week, it bought Grow Inc, a business intelligence platform. There were sveral appointments this week, including the promotion of Caroline Santander at Rootstock. Other companies making appointments include Rimini Street and FinancialForce, the latter covered in the PSA roundup.

Battery Ventures sold Forterro for €1 billion, the biggest and least-known ERP brand in Europe.

Pick of the week

Workday revealed its Q4 and full-year results beating expectations. Q4 revenues rose 21.6% YoY to $1.38B, and full-year revenue climbed 19% to $5.14B. Full-year operating loss halved to $116.5M, compared to $246M the previous year, although $101 million was in the final quarter.

Workday continues to move towards its short term goal of $10B in revenue. It is something it should achieve by 2026 at the current growth rate. Recent acquisitions such as VNDLY and future acquisitions could bring that date forward.

Acquisitions

The Access Group has entered into a binding agreement to acquire FastTrack, It is a cloud-based recruitment platform built to help staffing organisations streamline and grow.

Microsoft has completed its acquisition of Nuance Communications Inc, a leader in conversational AI and ambient intelligence.

PDI has acquired GreenPrint (www.greenprint.eco), the corporate sustainability solutions leader. GreenPrint will become the foundation of the newly established PDI Sustainability Solutions practice. PDI will leverage the company’s expertise to continue building a portfolio that improves business results through eco-minded innovations.

Visma acquired Bokio, a Gothenburg and Stockholm based software and fintech company. It offers automated and AI-driven accounting software to SMEs and self-employed. It has customers in Sweden and the UK. Could this see the start of ore expansion into the UK market?

Appointments

Rimini Street has appointed technology marketing veteran Jeff Spicer as executive vice president and chief marketing officer. The company also merged its North and South Americas division into a single business unit. This will be led by Emmanuel Richard as senior vice president and general manager, Americas Theatre.

Business

Fujitsu Asia has partnered with Esker and will provide consultation, implementation and support for Esker’s Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash suites to their customers in Singapore.

For the second consecutive year, Intuit TurboTax will partner with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. They will award educational grants to 40 high school seniors and college students seeking financial support to pursue a higher education diploma or complete their college degree.

IRIS Software Group (IRIS) has partnered with Revolut, the global financial super app. It will allow companies using IRIS Cascade to give their employees access to Revolut’s ‘On-Demand Pay’ product, which provides early salary access. Revolut Business customers will have access to IRIS’ Staffology Payroll solution for instant payroll processing.

RamBase Partner Arribatec has expanded its business in the UK. It is offering RamBase Cloud ERP to more businesses looking for an industry-fit ERP software.

SYSPRO USA has partnered with ZAP, a leader in SaaS for data management and analytics. It will offer customers an enhanced Business Intelligence solution, furthering SYSPRO ERP’s robust data and analytics reporting capabilities.

LB Technology (LB), a cutting-edge fleet services software company, has seen 100% revenue growth in two years with the power of Accounting Seed on Salesforce. It previously used Zoho and QuickBooks

LA VILLA, a renowned hotel and event venue on Lake Starnberg, Bavaria, Germany, has decided to upgrade to the Infor HMS hospitality management cloud solution. Geminite Cement Industries LLC, one of the Middle East’s leading players in building materials production and distribution, has selected Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise.

Sage is supporting the 2023 Rugby World Cup. In partnership with the SI, Parthena Consultants, the organisation behind the Coupe de Monde Rugby in France, will use Sage X3 to manage its finances.

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council has awarded enterprise software provider TechnologyOne a contract to help digitally transform its financial and business planning systems. TechnologyOne was also awarded a contract to help digitally transform Fareham Borough Council’s financial and business management systems.

Financial Reports

Rimini Street announced Q4 and full-year results. Q4 revenue was up 13.0% to $99.3 million. Full-year revenue rose 14.6% to $374.4 million.
