The Access Group has appointed Adrian Foley as Managing Director, Access People, Ireland. Foley has held leadership positions in technology companies for more than 20 years. Most recently, he was Head of Sales at Teamwork, the all-in-one project management platform. Before that, he held leadership positions at VMWare, EMC and IT distribution companies Westcoast Ireland and Clarity. As managing director, he was responsible for sales, presales, professional services, and sales development.

Based in Ireland, where Access People has most of its team following the acquisition of CoreHR in 2020, he will lead a company that recently announced ATS Euromaster had selected PeopleXD Community. Foley commented: “I have watched Access with interest over the last few years and can see the enormous addressable market and great solutions which are making a big difference to the business and lives of Access customers.

“Access has an excellent track record and demonstrates strong leadership in the industry which allows us a great platform from which to build a successful Access Ireland business. I see this role as a way to contribute to an exciting, forward thinking, and fast-moving company.”

Foley has experience beyond Ireland, and it will be interesting how he accelerates growth. Charles Butterworth, Managing Director of Access People, said, “Adrian’s appointment is great news for The Access Group. Adrian not only brings with him a wealth of software and SaaS experience, but he’s also passionate about developing and maintaining strong relationships centred on trust with his teams and with customers.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Foley is an excellent hire with a good track record, helping to grow businesses in Ireland and beyond. If he does well in Ireland, he is also a potential successor to Butterworth. For Foley, this is an opportunity to help grow a business unit with huge potential. It will be interesting to see how he moves Access People forward in Ireland. A country where it has historically had a strong presence.

As of writing Teamwork still had Foley as Head of Sales, it should look to update its page quickly.
