Oracle today announced new logistics management capabilities within Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM). The updates to Oracle Fusion Cloud Transportation Management and Oracle Fusion Cloud Global Trade Management can help organizations reduce costs and risk, improve customer experience, and become more adaptable to business disruptions.

PDI Software has acquired Ireland-based Azpiral, a cloud-based digital consumer engagement solutions leader.

Appointments

Acumatica has named John Case its new chief executive officer, effective March 1, 2022. Case will take over for Jon Roskill, who is stepping down as Acumatica’s CEO after leading the company since 2014. Roskill will move into an advisory role for EQT Partners, the global private equity firm that acquired Acumatica in 2019. Case was previously CEO of software company Unify Square as an Acumatica customer.

Renee Pianka has joined FreshBooks as Chief People Officer.

Business

Intuit announced the recipients of its QuickBooks Restaurant Relief Initiative grant program. QuickBooks collaborated with the Georgia Restaurant Association (GRA) to provide 20 small restaurants, each with a $5,000 grant and one-year free subscriptions to QuickBooks Online and Mailchimp to help run and grow their businesses.

SAP and BearingPoint will offer carbon and environmental footprint solutions, leveraging the recently launched SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises solution.

ToolsGroup has partnered with Planalytics to integrate their weather-driven demand (WDD) analytics with ToolsGroup’s retail planning solutions, enabling customers to isolate, measure, and manage the influence of weather on their businesses.

VAI announced a recruitment drive. Despite the desire to recruit, it seems to be finding some positions hard to fill, with only five on its careers site and one dating back to July 2021.

Do It Best expanded its partnership with Epicor and named them its point-of-sale (POS) vendor of choice for its member-owners.

DesignPro, a leading Irish machine builder, has selected, implemented, and gone live on Global Shop Solutions ERP.

Bharti Airtel (Airtel), India’s premier communications solutions provider, has chosen Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Management (SCM) to digitize and simplify its finance, planning, and supply chain processes.

BreastScreen Victoria, one of Australia’s largest breast cancer screening organizations, has switched to Rimini Street Support for its Oracle Database software.

Intuit confirmed its full-year 2022 guidance but will reveal that Q2 revenues were lower than expected.

Product

Esker has launched a Customer Inquiries Management solution add-on. It will help customer service departments address inquiries faster and free up staff to focus on customer-facing activities. The solution will integrate with Esker’s Order Management solution. The add-on serves as a digital assistant for the customer service email inbox. It classifies and routes messages to the right recipient or process.

Unanet released the latest update of its A/E and GovCon software. New updates for A/E include a Kanban-style task management feature, Project Activities. There is also improvements to earned value and Gantt charts and a new remote expense tracking within the mobile application. GovCon ERP included updates to invoicing, the ability to personalise application screens and updates to analytics. Unanet CRM features are also available for A/E and GovCon customers within the mobile application.
