Tiger Image by 1980supra from Pixabay Acumatica is investing in expansion across Asia-Pacific, focusing on Sri Lanka, where its partnership with IFS is enabling it to grow a strong foothold. Acumatica will invest in support and localisation for its product in the region. It already has 50 employees across APAC, with nearly a dozen active resellers across Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the Maldives.

Jon Roskill, CEO at Acumatica, commented, “We’re excited to deepen our roots in South Asia by fortifying partnerships in Sri Lanka. Acumatica is a global company with a worldwide network of partners and resellers, supporting customers across several industries. The demand for our product in APAC really called for more investment and commitment from us.”

A growing number of resellers

Those resellers focus mainly on the distribution, manufacturing, and construction industries and include:

Thorsten Leppek, director of the Asia region at Acumatica, commented, “We sincerely value the partnership of our early Acumatica partners in South Asia. Through their expertise and local ties, we can support the abundance of growing businesses in need of Acumatica’s mobile, adaptable, and efficient cloud ERP solution. They are central to our success in the region.”

Acumatica added the latest partner, Smart OSC, only three weeks ago, with Leppek commenting, “Acumatica is very excited to partner with SmartOSC in Asia to offer a fully integrated retail and eCommerce solution out of one hand. The vast experience of SmartOSC in this industry plus the functionalities of the Acumatica Retail-Commerce Edition is a perfect combination for mid-market companies in Vietnam and Southeast Asia to build or develop their online and omnichannel business.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

Acumatica frequently describes itself as the fastest-growing ERP. A challenge that Laurie McCabe, industry analyst, questioned last year but acknowledged was evidenced. She noted, “Acumatica’s customer count has grown by 25% over the past year, and the vendor says its revenues rose 72% in the same period. I’m not aware of any other ERP vendor—cloud or on-premises—that can beat this trajectory.”

Increasing its partner count in Asia, alongside the growth in Europe since it opened its London office earlier this year, would indicate that the growth is not slowing down. While its growth in Asia is not a given, IDC recently named it a major player in the region in its recent study entitled: “IDC MarketScape: Asia/Pacific Manufacturing Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning 2021 Vendor Assessment.”

The other vendors in the report include

  • Infor
  • Oracle Corporation
  • Ramco Systems Limited
  • SAP SE
  • Kingdee International Software Group Company Limited
  • SYSPRO
  • Oracle Netsuite
  • QAD Inc
  • IFS AB
  • Epicor Software Corporation
  • Microsoft.

Acumatica has continued its meteoric growth. Who is it winning market share from, and can anyone challenge its title as the fastest-growing ERP vendor?
