ARO Advisors has announced its first technology partnership. ARO will work with Changepoint, now part of Planview, to use its PMO solution as part of its virtual PMO service. Founded in mid-2020 by three industry veterans Bill Pasani (CRO), Mark Winstone (CIO & COO), and Jason Lee (CEO), it offers services around the virtual PMO, Cybersecurity, and IT spend Management.

It will leverage the Changepoint solution to understand a client’s portfolio of projects with a top-down approach. It will measure KPIs and surface insights and recommend actions based on their deep industry expertise.

Lee commented: “ARO’s deep PMO and project management expertise partnered with Changepoint’s leading solutions, will simplify a firms’ entire portfolio of projects. I have first-hand experience on the value PMO brings to executives, project managers, and project teams.”

The selection of Changepoint is based on years of experience working with various solutions rather than a standard RFP. ARO believes that Changepoint can help exceed customer expectations and empower them to create best practice PMOs for organisations.

ARO also offers Rapid Deployment Project Managers that can quickly take over and manage projects for organisations. All project managers are experienced and certified. This service provides a bench of project managers that can rapidly backfill gaps for organisations. It is unclear whether this service also uses Changepoint or leverage the client technology already in place.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

While ARO partners is a small company, only six employees, according to LinkedIn, this announcement is significant. It is an endorsement of the Changepoint solutions as it transitions to ownership of Planview. Furthermore, with the ARO intent of providing a virtual PMO to different organisations, it could see Changepoint add customers. Outsourcing your PMO less common than HR or Payroll. It will be interesting to see how big the market need is.
