There were also several customer announcements including Panasonic and Groupe Ginger. Research announcements included the State of B2B marketing by Demandbase, a Total Economic Impact report from Forrester about Sage X3 and some interesting findings on employees by edays.

The highlight of the week is a slightly bizarre announcement by Accounting Seed that heralds (it does not seem to be available yet) a new training series on Accounting. This will be a gamified experience around basic accounting practices led by Buddy. Accounting Seed revealed Buddy as the co-founder of the company in a brief, informative and slightly bizarre video that tells the story of the company to date.

Acquisition

Access has further strengthened its offerings to the legal profession with the acquisition of DPS Software, a UK leader in SaaS-based practice management software focusing on firms between 10 and 200 employees.

Akerna has exercised its option to acquire the remaining shares in solo sciences inc. The deal is expected to close on 31st July 2020.

Appointment

Aprimo named Erik Huddlestone as its new Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. Huddleston was previously President of Cision, a cloud-based communications and PR firm.

Workfront has appointed Paige Erickson to the role of EMEA Managing Director. Erickson will also retain her responsibility for global partner strategy and will serve on the company’s executive committee.

Business

Accelo has launched the Accelo Expert Services Program. The program offers custom consulting engagements based on a free 30-minute project scoping call.

Aprimo extended its relationship with Delaware. Delaware will leverage its presence and strength in Singapore to make the Aprimo digital asset management and work management software available to companies in South East Asia, specifically Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Icertis has revealed H1 2020 growth results which, despite the coronavirus pandemic, has seen demand increase. It has added 319 employees globally in the last six months and expects to hire 200 more before the end of the year.

Loadsmart, a leading digital freight platform and Blue Yonder, the leading digital supply chain platform provider, have partnered. The combination will provide customers instantly bookable truckload rates on the Blue Yonder pricing discovery solution.

Nexthink, the leader in digital employee experience (DEX) management, has attained ISO/IEC 27001:2013, ISO/IEC 27017:2015, and ISO/IEC 27018:2019 certifications for its recently launched Nexthink Experience cloud platform.

Nice has partnered with Minit to combine Minit’s visual and interactive process maps and statistics with the AI-driven desktop analytics capabilities of NICE’s Automation Finder. SolarWinds is collaborating with Microsoft to integrate Microsoft 365 capabilities with SolarWinds N-central and RMM. Customers can soon manage devices using Microsoft Intune from within the SolarWinds dashboard.

ThoughtSpot and HMR announced a partnership to provide pharmaceutical industry companies with the ability to search pharmaceutical sales data from HMR. It offers breakthroughs in speed, ease of use, and decision making. The new solution from HMR, powered by ThoughtSpot, maximises the power of analytics to improve customer experience, improve products, marketing and sales decision making, and deliver business value. This innovation is currently under implementation and optimization and will initially be commercially available in Portugal, Spain and Ireland from January 2021. A second partnership with VoiceBase will see Thoughtspot add search capabilities to the VoiceBase voice data.

Customer

The State of Arkansas has signed a deal to implemented Periscope Holdings eprocurement products. It includes Periscope CLM which is powered by Agiloft no-code contract management software.

Saudi German Hospital (SGH) in UAE is using AI-powered software bots from Automation Anywhere. The bots help improve patient care and automate end-to-end business processes during the COVID-19 crisis. Automation Anywhere also revealed that Santander Consumer bank saved more than $2 million and 30,000 hours through its use of the Automation Anywhere intelligent automation platform.

STAQ Pharma has implemented BatchMaster Software as its new ERP solution. The medical syringe manufacturer, faced with growing demand, found its spreadsheets were no longer able to cope with tracking either raw materials or finished goods. It turned to BatchMaster to solve the challenge and help meet its FDA compliance requirements.

Juniper Aged Care has leveraged the Boomi platform to automate the integration of its applications replacing legacy manual processes.

Dealers Supply & Lumber Co. LLC has implemented the DataView Document Management System to optimize its document and email management. Having used CAI Software’s Ponderosa enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for more than 15 years, this latest move increases the benefits delivered by the CAI software portfolio.

Hutton, a Dutch business catering services company has created a mobile payments app called Hutten Tap&Pay using the Mendix low code platform. The mobile application allows customers to pay for items at a company cafeteria or restaurant without physical contact.

Cfm Distributors has selected NetSuite ERP and DSI Cloud Inventory for HVAC distribution operation based in six offices across Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska. Meridian, a partner of both NetSuite and DSI, will implement the solutions. SUEZ – Water Technologies & Solutions has leveraged Nintex for Office 365 to migrate and improve its business workflows. Of the 200 workflows, its migrated 150 in a few days and was able to retire 50 of them.

Qualtrics has announced further customer wins. They include Hang Seng Bank selecting Qualtrics Customer XM while Sri Sri Institute for Advanced Research, Uber and NewtonX selected Qualtrics CoreXM. Teradyne has also selected Qualtrics Employee XM.

The Ford Family Foundation in Oregon has seen impressive efficiency improvements after implementing Sage Intacct. It increased the efficiency of its finance operation by 40%. It reduced manual input by 30 hours a week, and the solution helped it increase grants by three times during COVID-19. Sage Intacct replaced Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Product

ActiveCampaign extended its Customer Experience Automation solution with new marketing channels and integrations. It has also included the ability to personalise web pages using customer data collected from touchpoints collected throughout their journey.

Data Dwell announced its Freyja product update. Improvements include the ability to add page names to Salesforce Objects, a new personalised customer content portal and support for Salesforce Community Cloud.

ECI has revealed that RockSolid POS software is now available as a cloud deployment. All 2,000 Rocksolid POS customers can now leverage the cloud solution with its several operational advantages.

Infor has added new contacts applications for the hospitality industry. The applications deliver capabilities such as mobile check-in/check-out, digital keys, and the ability to order room service via one’s own device. Jason Floyd, senior vice president and general manager of Infor Hospitality, commented: “Speed is critical right now. Knoa Software released Knoa Analytics, a new component within Knoa UEM which is also sold by SAP as SAP User Experience Management (SAP UEM) by Knoa. The new analytics solution complements and enhances the existing Knoa platform. It provides:

  • Guided access to data, for faster onboarding of new users
  • Use case-specific analytics for top priorities such as S/4HANA migrations and user enablement
  • New analytics in support of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives
  • Exploratory reports for open-ended analysis of the data targeted to expert users
  • Financial models for computing the business impact of IT projects, based on Knoa’s user experience metrics
  • Collaboration and productivity features, such as the ability to create and share projects

The solution will be available in Q3 2020.

Salt Edge has made available a new-look client dashboard with improvements to UI and UX. Improvements include easier navigation, a more straightforward request process for bank connections and dynamic registration.

TigerGraph is furthering the democratization of graph analytics with new capabilities for its industry-recognized query language, GSQL. GSQL, which brings modern aggregation support to graph analytics, is a property graph query language designed for SQL users. TigerGraph’s work with GSQL has garnered industry recognition from SIGMOD, the premier international database conference.

Research

Vena Solutions unveiled the Vena Q2-2020 Industry Benchmark Report. It revealed insights on how finance-led business planning is evolving. Key findings included:

  • 07% of organisations do not have an early warning system that considers business indicators about future financial risk.
  • Only 47.79% of businesses are utilising an agile planning process
  • Problems with disparate and disconnected data is still a key challenge for 56.94% of organisations.
