Covid 19 continues to devastate conferences, internal meetings and travel this week. However, the news keeps on coming. Dame Jayne-Anne Gadhia stepped down from her role of CEO, UK and Ireland at Salesforce. DocuSign, Domo, Oracle and Rimini Street all published strong results. It is likely that future results may take a hit as COVID-19 starts to have an impact on revenues. Organisations working with small businesses are likely to be hit first. However professional services may take a hit due the travel restrictions.

Acquisitions

The Access Group has acquired Webroster. Webroster provides workforce management solutions to the care industry. The acquisition strengthens the Health & Social Care division at The Access group. Terms were not disclosed.

Appointment

Billtrust has appointed Joe Eng as Chief Information Officer. Eng joins from TravelClick where he was also CIO. He has held similar roles at JetBlue and SWIFT.

Contract Logix appointed Lewis Miller as board chairman. Miller is the founder and managing partner at ActionPoint Advisors and has been on the boards of The Reeher Group, Qvidian, Per Scholas, Forte Systems, Synergistics, and The Future Now.

Freshworks has appointed former Oracle Exec, Prakash Ramamurthy as its new Chief Product Officer. He is now is responsible for Freshworks’ overall product vision and strategy, development and GTM efforts.

IFS has announced the appointment of Greg Robinson as head of channels and alliances for Australia and New Zealand. Robinson joined IFS last November. It has also grown its sales team to build on the 20% net growth it experienced in the region.

Icertis appointed Pranali Save as CHRO. Save previously worked at Tieto as HR Head for India and Global HR Partner for the Tieto Centres of Excellence across 5 European countries.

Infor has appointed Boon Khoo as managing director of the Greater China and Korea region. Khoo joins from SAP SuccessFactors where he was general manager in Greater China. While just announced, Khoo actually joined in July 2019.

Dame Jayne-Anne Gadhia is stepping down from her role as CEO of Salesforce UK and Ireland. She has left to focus on her new business, Snoop. She will return to her role as an adviser to Salesforce. Paul Smith, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Salesforce UK and Ireland will assume her responsibilities.

ThoughtSpot has appointed Keizo Arinobu as the country manager for Japan. He previously served in a similar role for MongoDB and Talend.

UiPath has appointed Ted Kummert as Executive Vice President of Product & Engineering. He joins the company from one of its investors, Madrona Venture Group. There he was Venture Partner and Chief Product Officer in Residence.

Business

Chaser has raised £3 million in a growth funding round led by Fuel Ventures supported by Sussex Place Ventures, Beacon Capital and Director and early-investor in Xero, Craig Winkler. It is aiming to extend its Cloud Credit Control software both in terms of customer numbers and technology.

Docusign announced its fourth quarter and full year results. For the 4th quarter revenue was up 38% year over year to $274.9 million. Total revenue was $974.0 million, an increase of 39% year-over-year.

Domo increased revenues by 17% in its 4th quarter to $46.2 million and full year revenues climbed 22% to $173.4 million. Looking forward, it expects its full year 2021 to be in the range of $192 to 198 million.

Kryon has been accredited by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore. This will enable it to become the turnkey solution for more than 100 Singaporean government agencies.

Landmark, the flexible workspace provider has implemented the Perkbox employee experience platform. It has combined free perks such as a Caffe Nero coffee alongside support for CSR with two paid charity days.

Rimini Street broke its own records again with another quarter of growth. Its revenues were up 11.7% year over year to $71.1 million. Full year revenues climbed 10.9% to $281.1 million.

Showpad has received SOC 2 Type 2 accreditation from AICPA. The accreditation show that the Showpad Sales enablement platform treats customer data in a compliant manner.

Customer

A good week for Ceridian which saw Seagrass Boutique hospitality Group select Dayforce in Australia. Additionally UK based Costa Coffee completed the implementation of Dayforce across 18,000 employees in the UK.

Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA is migrating to an Ellucian Cloud solution from a home grown solution. It will deploy Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Ethos and Ellucian Analytics.

Manitou Group has selected and is deploying Infor M3 Equipment across the organisation. Integrator Authentic Group and Infor are carrying out the work at the French manufacturer which employs more than 4,600 across its global organisation.

PD Ports a provider of port-centric logistics and warehousing solutions has deployed more than 20 K2 workflows and apps to automate critical business processes. Nathan Clarke, Business Analyst, PD Ports commented: “Time after time, K2 enables PD Ports to introduce new IT functionality to improve the efficiency of our business and make us more competitive in our market. Given that K2 paid for itself with the very first app we developed eight years ago, the return on investment that we have gained from K2 is significant.”

Tech Unicorn Ibotta has selected NICE Workforce Management and NICE Employee Engagement Manager. The City of Lawton, Oklahoma has selected several Tyler solutions. It includes Munis enterprise resource planning (ERP), EnerGovcivic services, New Worldpublic safety, Incode court, Brazos eCitation, Socrata data and insights, and Tyler Content Manager.

Logan University in Chesterfield Missouri has selected Unit4 People Experience Suite for Education. This includes: Unit4 Student Management, Unit4 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Unit4 Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

Product

EcoVadis API connector for SAP Ariba Supplier Risk is now available on the SAP App Centre. It adds its best-in-class sustainability performance intelligence to the full  source-to-pay process enabled by the SAP Ariba Supplier Risk solution.

NICE is providing a free work from home module for users of the NICE inContact CXone cloud customer experience platform. It is also offering additional voice call ports free for 211 and 311 organisations for the next six months. NICE has recognised that the Coronavirus situation has caused significant change. It has not yet widened the offer to other businesses using its software. Though it is offering NICE inContact CXone customers an integrated softphone free of charge to support work from home agents. Though again this may just be to 211 and 311 call centres. The offer also appears North American centric.

SAP released SAP Cloud Platform SDK for iOS version 5.0. With support for Mac Catalyst it will enable organisation to develop, deploy and run application across iPhone, iPads and Mac solutions.

ServiceNow has made the Orlando release of its Now platform available. It delivers analytics, intelligence and mobility solutions enhancements across ServiceNow’s IT, Employee and Customer workflows.

Research

The Irish entrepreneurial spirit is alive and growing according to research by Freshbooks. Amongst other findings it discovered that a third of respondents wanted set up their own business.

Kronos has published the second part its research into workforce management. 7 in 10 UK organisations in the hospitality and food industry are still using manual systems. It found that both managers and employees are expectant of change in their organisations.

The sales engagement platform vendor Outreach published a study conducted by Forrester Consulting on “The Total Economic Impact Of The Outreach Sales Engagement Platform.” It identified that customers have gained a 387% ROI on average over three years.

Prophix published its 2020 CFO Benchmark Report. The survey of 391 North American finance leaders reveals forecasting is the main stressor. The report looks at the challenges, priorities ad FP&A maturity amongst other things. It looked at the other benefits that Outreach delivered including enhancements to automation, integration compliance and the retirement of legacy solutions.
