Lingtong Exhibition has selected Infor LN to manage most of the operations within the business. Founded in 1986, it is a designer and manufacturer of exhibition systems. Lingtong has a vision to “Bring Environmental-friendly Exhibition System into every expo space” across the world. To achieve this vision it needed to modernises it IT systems to improve the management and controls within the company.
Lingtong produces more than 3,000 products and has more than 135 patents for exhibition equipment. It provided equipment for the World Expo 2010 Shanghai and the 8th China Flower Expo.
The project will include the implementation of procurement, sales, production, finance, and project modules and will roll out during 2020. Lingtong believes that the functionality within Infor LN can help it to achieve better and more sustainable products. Its historic software was no longer adequate as the company had outgrown it. While not specifically called out in the release, Infor also has experience of hiring equipment out. This is key to improving the sustainability of exhibition equipment.

Can Infor LN enable Lingtong’ ambitions?
Lingtong primarily operates in China. However, it also has an extended sales network in Mexico, Germany, Israel and Kenya. Importantly for Lingtong Infor LN support both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and has the multi-national capabilities it requires.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Infor is doing well in Asia with major wins at Coles in Australia and Pataya Food Group in Thailand last month. This win sees it extend its footprint in China. If the solution is deployed quickly could provide a significant customer advocate. As an exhibition product manufacturer it comes into contact with many other companies in China and beyond.
Infor needs to demonstrate how it is improving the efficiency and green credentials of Lingtong. If it does so, this could become one of its most significant wins in China.
