Lingtong Exhibition has selected Infor LN to manage most of the operations within the business. Founded in 1986, it is a designer and manufacturer of exhibition systems. Lingtong has a vision to “Bring Environmental-friendly Exhibition System into every expo space” across the world. To achieve this vision it needed to modernises it IT systems to improve the management and controls within the company.
Lingtong produces more than 3,000 products and has more than 135 patents for exhibition equipment. It provided equipment for the World Expo 2010 Shanghai and the 8th China Flower Expo.
The project will include the implementation of procurement, sales, production, finance, and project modules and will roll out during 2020. Lingtong believes that the functionality within Infor LN can help it to achieve better and more sustainable products. Its historic software was no longer adequate as the company had outgrown it. While not specifically called out in the release, Infor also has experience of hiring equipment out. This is key to improving the sustainability of exhibition equipment.
Yuguang Liu, Chairman of Lingtong, said: “We chose Infor after a careful evaluation process and were impressed by their deep industry expertise and how the InforLN solution is both cost-effective and quick to deploy according to the unique needs of the exhibition industry.
“Whether for operations or quality management, service management or order management, the Infor LN solution boasts industry-specific functionality and flexible deployment advantages that can support the rapid development of our group’s business. Smart Link Exhibitions has been at the forefront of the industry, promoting sustainable development of the industry, and insisting on the implementation of corporate social responsibility. We are glad to work with them to build a green exhibition industry chain. Continue to develop and protect our fragile ecosystem.
“Infor LN can increase the transparency of business and improve business processes at Smart Link. Its industry-specific manufacturing capabilities can provide greater flexibility, and ultimately help Lingtong Exhibition to achieve the goal of building a green exhibition service ecosystem.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Infor is doing well in Asia with major wins at Coles in Australia and Pataya Food Group in Thailand last month. This win sees it extend its footprint in China. If the solution is deployed quickly could provide a significant customer advocate. As an exhibition product manufacturer it comes into contact with many other companies in China and beyond.
Infor needs to demonstrate how it is improving the efficiency and green credentials of Lingtong. If it does so, this could become one of its most significant wins in China.
