TOTVS SA completed the acquisition of CONSINCO S.A. for a total that may reach R$252 million (US$62.32 million) subject to performance. CONSINCO is the leading provider of management software for supermarket and cash and carry in the Brazilian market. It has around 230 customers and 400 employees.

XCD has announced it has promoted Brittney Bies to the role of Head of Customer Support. She joined the HR software vendor 20 months ago and her previous role was as Senior Product Support Specialist.

Skillsoft and SumTotal has donated funds to the Dream for Good Society (Regd. No. 77/2011) to set up a five month recurring program. This will help develop the skills of low income women on fashion designing and jute bag making. The donation helped fund the installation of a saree rolling machinery unit, sewing machinery, accessories and hire an instructor to train the initial cohort of 20 women for a period of five months. The program will restart every five months with a new intake. Revenue from the enterprise will help pay for schooling to help protect against child labour. The project is located in Gokul Plots, Hyderabad.
Icertis announced that the winner of its AI and blockchain hackathon was ‘BlockchainMegaminds’. The team won Rs 5,00,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to Seattle. The hackathon concluded in a grand final in Pune and the winning team utilized machine learning models to analyze crop distress and weather patterns. It then harnessed blockchain-enabled smart contracts for instant and automated claim settlements to those adversely affected by crop failures and natural disasters. In total there were 10,000 participants and was one of the largest in India to date. Microsoft also sponsored and helped to provide the technology used in the hackathon.

Infor revealed that Delta Galil, a leading textile manufacturer in Israel completed the installation of the Infor M3 warehouse management system module before the major festive shopping season. The project lasted six months and was completed by the Infor partner Intentia Israel.
Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO Group), will extend its deployment of Ramco Systems Aviation ERP to two new sites. Following the successful completion of the initial project at HAECO ITM Ltd, HAECO will now deploy the ERP solution in Xiamen and Jinjiang.
