Another big conference week and Enterprise Times attended several of them including Sage Intacct Advantage, MagentoLive and OmniSci converge. There were several other conferences this week and therefore a lot of news.

Acquisitions

KCS has acquired MAM software Inc, a leading global provider of on-premise and cloud-based business management solutions for the automotive parts, tyre and vertical distribution industries.

Llamasoft has acquired Opex Analytics the company that creates enterprise-grade AI applications.

Unanet has announced the acquisition of Clearview software. Clearview provides project-based ERP software for Architects & Engineers. It will remain as a separate division within Unanet led by Matt Pantana, the current President and CEO of Clearview.

Appointments

SAP has appointed Thomas Saueressig as the new executive board member to lead SAP Product Engineering.

Salestrip, the T&E native to the Salesforce platform has announced it has hired Sage People’s Will Davidson, as VP of Sales, and Eoin Landers, VP of Sales, US.

ServiceNow has appointed Bill McDermott as President and CEO to replace John Donahoe before the end of 2019. McDermott was previously CEO at SAP

iPaaS vendor SnapLogic has promoted Craig Stewart to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

SYSPRO has appointed Rob Stummer to a wider role as Chief Executive Officer of SYSPRO’s Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

Customer News

Transport for Manchester has selected Infor EAM. Infor and Sapphire systems will implement the solution. This is another major win for Infor in a metropolitan authority.

Almacenes Vidrí, a hardware retail chain based in El Salvador, has successfully deployed JDA Advanced Store Replenishment and JDA® Advanced Warehouse Replenishment solutions from JDA Software, Inc.

Elliot Brothers has selected iTrent, the MHR HR and Payroll solution. It will roll out the system by February 2020 to its 320 employees in 13 locations.

Telecom Fiji has selected and is using the Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse and analytics solution to improve decision making.

The Juilliard School and Rutgers University have both selected Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) CloudOracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud, and Oracle Student Cloud.

Pagantis has selected TigerGraph to help streamline the customer experience for its point of sale consumer finance platform for ecommerce in Europe. The decision will see Pagantis speeding up its real-time risk-scoring and fraud prevention processes and reduce wait times on its application when it leverages the graph database.

Ultipro has announced that three US Non-profit organisations are using its HR solution in their organisations, they are the YMCA of South Florida, Chimes, and Kettering Health.

Funding

commercetools, a leader in next-generation commerce software, announced a US$145 million investment from global venture capital and private equity firm Insight Partners. It will support expansion in the USA, Asia-Pacific and Europe. REWE Digital GmbH remains an investor.

Partnerships

Cezanne HR has signed a partnership with Curo the cloud-based compensation planning solution.

ConnectWise, has announced a new partnership with e92plus, the leading cyber security VAD for the UK channel. The agreement initially focus on the UK market. E92plus will offer ConnectWise as part of its product portfolio and they will design and develop joint education to the market.

Ramco has partnered with NTT Data to provide business services for its solutions.

SAP announced a go to market partnership with Microsoft to accelerate adoption of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Cloud on Microsoft Azure.

Unit4 announced a global partnership with San Francisco-based SmartRecruiters bringing its Talent acquisition solution to compliment its HCM software. It also unveiled a new planning and analytics solution at UNLEASH 19.

Xero has extended its relationship with UK based firm GoCardless to North America.

Research

Conga has unveiled independent research that demonstrated its contracts software can deliver a return on investment within six months.

Edelman, the global PR agency has completed a fascinating CIO research project into the impact of Digitisation on the role of the CIO. 400 CIO’s across the UK, US, Singapore and China were interviewed. It highlights that CIOs are the new “Guardians of Trust” in organisations.

Research by Fenergo has revealed that slow and manual onboardng processes could be costing banks as much as $4.5 billion in revenue.

MicroStrategy has released the results of its 2020 Global State of Enterprise Analytics report. It covers insights from 500 people across Brazil, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States undertaken in Q2 2019.

Software News

In its latest update Accelo has increased the permissions functionality to allow project managers and other staff to view cost and profit by project. This was previously a system wide option for administrators.

Advanced Solutions applications Odyssey and Docman have been awarded a place on the NHS Digital GP IT Futures framework, which will run until 2023.

Cerebri AI launched the next generation of its customer engagement measuring platform, Cerebri Values CX v2. Using data collected from across billions of customer touchpoints, it aims to replace NPS with more nuanced and insightful measurements using its AI, Cerebri values.

Ceridian introduced three new products at its annual user conference: Dayforce Intelligence, Dayforce Wallet, and Dayforce Hub. They will be available in 2020. It also revealed that it is adding HR capabilities to its PowerPlay platform.

Epicor has announced the latest version of Docstar. It includes updates to Docstar Forms, a South American and Caribbean Spanish language pack and better integration to AP automation vendor Karmak fusion.

Israeli company Priority has launched Priority Zoom, an ERP solution targeted at SMEs in the American market.

SalesAgility has announced the roadmap for SuiteCRM Outlook Integration. It will be in three phases and complete by the end of 2019.

Salesforce has announced a new email marketing solution powered by Einstein. It introduces personalisation journeys and interactive personalised email content.

Results

IFS announced its sixth consecutive quarter with more than 20% revenue growth. It achieved a 47% increase in license revenue and 23% rise in net revenue. Cloud revenues were up 61%.

SAP posted a strong set of results for its Q3 this week. Cloud Revenue up 37%, software license revenue fell 1%, total revenue up 13% to 6791 million euros.
