Infor continues its success in the hospitality vertical with HR Group implementing its revenue management software, Infor EzRMS. HR Group is one of the fastest growing hotel operating companies in Germany. It operates thirty four hotels with more than 4,800 rooms. The majority of these are in Germany but it also operates hotels in Denmark, Netherlands and Spain. The portfolio is diversified with hotels supporting trade fairs, at airports and in city centres from brands such as AccorHotels, Hyatt and the Wyndham Hotel Group.
It selected Infor EzRMS to maximise its profitability as it continues to scale. The solution helps to maximise revenue through pricing optimisation and forecasting. HR Group will roll out the solution to 23 of its hotels. It will also leverage the mobile app launched last year. This enables hotel managers to have access to KPI’s quickly. It also provides recommendations on pricing and provides notifications in case of business impacting updates.
Daniella Boeken, commercial vice president of HR Group commented: “We have been growing continuously since the foundation of the HR Group in 2008. It is therefore important to us to implement a solution that can continue to meet our needs in the future. Infor EzRMS is a great revenue management system boasting extensive reporting, which saves manpower and shows historical results as well as upcoming booking patterns that can be easily used to established future strategies.
“Deep-learning AI algorithms create a demand and rate forecast. This forecast is converted into yielding recommendations and selling strategies, which can be updated with just one click and distributed to all connected channels. With these features, Infor EzRMS saves a lot of manpower and increases work quality.”
Did they listen to AccorHotels?
Another customer of the Infor revenue management solution is Accor Hotels. It has used Infor solutions for more than 15 years. Cynthia Paynter, Director, Revenue Management & Pricing Solutions, Accor commented: “We’ve grown up together in revenue management. Infor solutions help us drive revenue and profit for our hotel owners.” HR Group may have been aware of the success that AccorHotels has had with the Infor solution and perhaps decided to use it themselves.
HR Group hopes to leverage the same benefits that AccorHotels already has. Christian Feser, senior account manager of DACH at Infor commented: “Infor EzRMS automates yield management, optimizes hotel occupancy, analyzes market data and increases revenue. This brings a significant competitive advantage, especially for facilities in heavily frequented destinations. The revenue management software recognizes patterns in guests’ behavior and allows hoteliers to respond to guests’ preferences and offer them a highly personalized experience.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Infor continues to target hotel groups across the globe. In April, Hotel Alma upgraded its Infor HMS solution in Canada. Last year it won deals with Koncept Hotels and Pavilion Hotels & Resorts. It has also strengthened its portfolio with the acquisition of ReServe. It can now offer a broad range of solution that allows hoteliers to operate applications for their establishments.
This deal is significant in terms of EzRMS and increases the footprint of that software Infor. However, Infor has not yet managed the same penetration of the market that its Retail arm has enjoyed with major marque wins. With Inforum, approaching, its annual user conference, it will be interesting to see what announcements it makes about its hospitality software and its recent wins.
Hi Steve, it was great reading your article about the HR group implementing new revenue management software. I believe for efficient growth of the businesses it is necessary to make use of such software. It’s great to read how they are using artificial intelligence to not only generate better forecasting but to improve the guest experience through personalisation.
