Plumbline Consulting has announced the creation of a Partner Program for Europe. This sees it marketing Progressus PSA software outside of the US and the UK. It will first look to target markets in Denmark and Sweden. The approach of focussing on the Nordics or Benelux is one commonly used for PSA vendors.
James Stirk, FinancialForce, recently told Enterprise Times that these were the two markets it was looking to grow in first. Before that, FinancialForce is looking to open its first mainland Europe office in Holland. For Progressus whose partner manager for Europe is Staffan Nilsson it made sense to attack the Nordics first. It is where he and his team of two others are based and have experience in.
Nilsson will be responsible for growing the European Partner Network and for the localisation of the Progressus PSA product. First on his potential partners list may be Sopra Steria. He is presenting at a Sopra Steria breakfast seminar this week to talk about the recently launched Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solution. If he can convince Sopra Steria to add Progressus PSA to its partner list then that will be a coup.
Progressus is now available in Denmark and Sweden on Microsoft AppSource. This adds to the entries for the US and UK. Joe Longo, President of Plumbline Consulting commented: “We are excited to expand our distribution footprint by making the solution available to project-based companies in Europe which will provide support for our partner’s customers with business operations in multiple regions.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
This adds another competitor for PSA in the Nordics. It joins others including Mavenlink, Unit4 PSA, Accelo and Replicon on AppSource. The wider market is also increasingly crowded with Salesforce PSA solutions such as Kimble and FinancialForce, as well as NetSuite in the region.
Progressus will first need to convince some partners to join its program and then win customers. What this announcement doesn’t state is what benefits the new program will offer those partners. If Nilsson can win Sopra Steria into the Progressus fold it will be a good start.
