Ramco has announced that ProConnect Supply Chain Solutions has gone live on Ramco Logistics ERP Software. It has implemented the full Ramco Logistics Software suite including HR and Payroll for its employees. This is a sizeable deal with LinkedIn, indicating the company has between one and five thousand employees. It operates more than 172 warehouses across India and is part of the Redington group.
Proconnect will use the Ramco solution to track and manage its entire operation. This includes warehousing, transportation, import/export as well as several add on services. During the implementation, it automated several processes across its sales, accounting and operations functions. These included: contract-based billing, finance and accounting, payroll, procurement and customer relationship management. It is also now able to leverage the Ramco mobility capabilities and view business information from any device in any location. Ultimately improving efficiencies in operations and management oversight. This has helped to decentralise the organisation and speed up decision making where appropriate.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean
This is a major deal for Ramco. In itself it is an implementation at a sizable company in India. However, it also sees it gain traction within the Redington Group. Can it then extend that to other parts of that organisation? To do so, it may face increased competition from companies such as Epicor, which signed an agreement with Redington last year and Infor who are investing in setting up more partnerships in India. Regardless, it demonstrates that Ramco is capable of delivering solutions in its home country to sizeable organisations.
